4.0 nursing student. But, she was dumb as shite
Nursing isn't that hard.
4.0 doesn't mean shite.
Engineering, physics, chemistry, etc is way different.

Well, I wouldn't call it easy. A shite ton of students wash out of even ADN programs.

I don’t see the truth. The mere fact that we are discussing a valedictorian in this thread goes against his point that there was no competition. It is literally a competition of the best students.
I don’t see where anyone said there is no competition.
I think what’s being said (or at least what I’m saying), is that some of the key traits that allow kids to excel in this competition are more commonly held by girls.
This “gap” shrinks over time obviously, as boys eventually “catch up” as they approach HS graduation, but I don’t think it’s debatable or controversial that girls typically make good students in traditional classroom settings at lest in the earlier grades.

The smartest person is history is a man. On average, women are smarter. It’s not rocket science.

Women are better with books, Men are better with common sense and getting shite done.

The highest GPA in my major (engineering) was a chick. She’s a yoga instructor now.

LOL yeah. No dolphins have ever been killed by an unexciting sculpture or a bad sitcom script.

Grading couch.

Girls are generally better students than guys. There are also more women in college nowadays than men.
Women are generally better students at younger grades. As already stated this is because they have the attributes school systems focus on more.
However, things tend to vary upon college and more importantly post-college life. The majors women go into are generally easier (social sciences, liberal arts, fine srts, etc.). This gives a scewed perspectives as men usually take more difficult majors.
The other factor to consider is women decisions regarding work-life versus family life. Women are more likely to stop working to work less in order to be with their families.

Don't know why she switched jobs. But it fits perfectly with the explanation I gave. Women generally make different career choices.

Girls are way more dedicated than guys
Overall as a whole this is the main reason. As a high school science teacher I'd say it's pretty even in terms of intelligence between males and females, but male students tend to be far lazier which prevents them from performing as well.
