Why are Private School Teachers typically paid less than public school teachers?

Private School : $36K. Public: $50K. Article
Those are the National averages.
The article explains some of circumstances regarding student behavior.
My issue is that many of you keep pushing free market principles, yet the education system is literally an antithesis to that. Why is it that when people are paying for private education the teachers are paid less?
Our free market is saying that a public school teacher is more valuable than a private school teacher. Why is that?
Furthermore, why are teachers treated in a socialist manner regarding the subject they teach. In a free market, youd have STEM teachers earning the most save for coaches. However that appears to not be the case, further reducing the potential for people to major in it.

Because not having to deal with public school children and their parents are worth taking less money.

Private schools are funded through private funds which are lower than public school and public funds.

Because that’s what private school teachers are willing to accept

Since kids aren’t little shits you don’t have to pay the teachers more to put up with the BS. They’ll take less to teach better kids.

Because they don't have to deal with as many shite heads. Some teachers would rather take the lower salary, especially if it's a secondary family income.

No. Private schools can't steal the public's money like public schools do. And then force their teachers and employees into a union that supports the thieves.

They don't have to have the same certifications

Huh? Your understanding of economics is embarrassing.

Public school expenses are not at all related to the free market system. I have to pay for them whether I use them or not.

My sister moved from a public school to a private school. She was teaching nearly 30 kids in a public school class at a time and now only teaches like 14. Also, the 14 come from great families who all value an education.
Think about that.
Think about that.

You took a bad post about economics and doubled down on that ridiculousness. Well done.

For starters, Public education is not part of the free market.

Better families and students typically. Also our school families gift a lot of stuff to the teachers. I would guess the average teacher at my kids’ school gets $7k plus a year in gifts - tax free.

You have to be kidding or gaslighting. Either way, you know the answers to these questions. Privates schools, on average, do not receive nearly the funding public schools do. People choose to send their kids to private schools to get a better or Christian based education. Private school teachers choose to teach at these schools because of smaller classrooms, less restrictions and a parent/school base that expect to be held to higher standards instead of just showing up.

This is correct for certain teachers. But I have several friends that are teachers and they prefer the public schools (if in a decent district) b/c the private school parents suck. The kids can be entitled little shits and the parents always think their kids are perfect. Of course some public school districts are so bad this won't be the case.
Also, some private schools can hire teachers that aren't fully certified yet making them a cheaper hire. I'm not sure what the rules are today, but I know this was the case a decade or so ago.
Additionally, public school teachers have to shoot for higher standards (testing) than the average private school. My guess is Zachary/Central public school teachers have to shoot for higher testing standards than the nearby Central Private or Silliman teachers.

And less students per class which is huge to teachers.
