Why are people willing to burn hours of their lives waiting in school carline?

Buses still exist.

Is it because they don’t want Braxton on a bus for whatever reason?

Perhaps I’ll ask my chauffeur when he returns from fetching S Jr. at school

Have you put kids on or taken kids off a school bus?

You are better off in the carpool line. The buses are unreliable to say the least.

Yeah I don't get it either - there were virtually no parents picking up kids in the mid/late 90s when I went to public schools but now those same schools have lines out to and on the shoulders of the highway of parents picking up kids. I liked riding the bus - got to shoot the shite with other kids that I didn't have classes with.

So do horses and buggies but I don't send my kids to school on one of those either.

I seldom had to ride a bus.

I often waited to be picked up tho. Different times. You could sit outside the school till dark without concern. I’d be worried about my kid today.

If my kids' school had a bus I'd probably still drop them off and arrange for a grandparent to pick them up. I see kids in my neighborhood get dropped off by the bus hours after school ended. frick that

Our carline takes like 10 mins max, they have that shite down pat. One of the teachers must have been a former chic-fil-a manager or something.

When I was in HS, my bus had a real bad habit of just driving right past me without stopping while I was waiting at the bus stop, especially when it was raining

Gotta get an hour of BP in before loading up Braxxton in the Tahoe for travel ball practice. Can’t waste that time on a bus baw.

It’s because societal trust has eroded down to nothing.
