Drive to West Monroe a couple of weeks ago. The car line in front of D'arbonne Woods was at least a quarter mile long.
Got down to Drew School, the southbound turn lane was full, and the northbound shoulder had a long-arse line, as well.

Car line for me is good and I like it. I get to make business calls, send emails, listen to news, etc. I think that is part of the reason parents set up camp in the afternoon.

i live in the jewel of louisiana so i'm OK with the bus

if i didn't you bet your arse i'd be sitting in the carline to spare my kids the type of shite i dealt with on the bus. and from what i've seen and witnessed the little bastards today are even meaner than they were when i was growing up.

Maybe because they prefer to take the responsibility of getting their child to school instead of relying on free public transportation.

I mean if you are too busy to take care of your kids needs......don't have kids.

Why don’t you tell us a perfect your life is and how every hour of every day is perfectly optimized, something we should all emulate

I just pick my kids up at around 6pm after a few soda pops at the bar. No line, and they get in the car super fast.

Their teacher is kind of an a-hole though.

Worse than the carline at school is the carline at the busstops in the neighborhood. My folks live in a very affluent neighborhood here, and their house is on the corner of the main road in the neighborhood and a 4 way at a cul de sac, which is one of the busstops for the school there. Parents sit out there in their cars every day to pick their kid up and drive them home.....which is like 5-10 houses away. If you're that kind of parent.....get a fricking life and pop your tit out of your child's mouth.

Carpool line is absolutely miserable for our kids. They ride the bus and it couldn't be more convenient. They ride with their pals and are dropped off half a block from home. I laugh when the other parents are driving their kids knowing they'll be stuck in that line.

I read a few comments about no buses for private schools. Our kids are in private and take the bus.

Never when I was in school. Has it really gotten that bad? I rode the bus until I was sr in hs when they let you have a parking spot.

100!

I learned in 5th grade that you had to Pee inside a girl to get her pregnant. Good times.

The car line talks me 20 min round trip. It actually is easier for me on days I go into the office. Our buses are highly unreliable.

We used to ride the bus and I had a lot of great memories. Saw my first porno mag on the bus some older kid had.

But a big black girl beat a kid within an inch of his life one day and I remember being picked up from school mostly after that

Never make it to Zaxbys & back to the cages in time for fall ball early games if kids ride the bus. Plus that’s my nap time and usually get in an episode of Twilight Zone or Southpark while I fire off some emails before I doze off. Car line ladies don’t even wake me anymore they just let me snooze.
