Why Are People In Such a Hurry to Board a Flight?

Sure it makes sense for the flights without assigned seating. But if you're waiting at the gate the plane isn't going anywhere before you get on. I'm just sitting at the airport and as soon as they announced the plane is ready everyone jumped up and near sprinted to stand in line to board.
No hurry for me. Business class for me so I'll let those unfortunate economy class get on first. I don't want some fatty bumping me with their arse squeezing their elephant selves down the aisle.

I've never had an issue with carryon space. If someone has their oversized duffle bag in the way I just get the flight attendant to put it with the oversized luggage/strollers.

Pretty much any flight to BR there's a good chance you'll have to gate check your bag, which isn't a big deal because it's right there when you get off. But on larger planes you often get voluntold to check your bag and you end up having to wait at baggage claim. Overhead space fills up quicker than you'd think.
I imagine most OT ballers fly first class or charter and don't have to worry about this, though.

I also want my flight to leave on time and or arrive early and be on my way. I do t want some slow fricks to slow the flight down because their lazy.

I'll admit, I only fly a few times a year. Though most of the time it's out of MSY and the flights are full.

I check my luggage except my laptop bag and get on last. I also crop dust all the way to my seat
