Maybe they fly cheap because they DO read the Money Board & have learned to give up instant gratification for long term gratification?
Or you really learn something and DO BOTH.
The President of NAM for my company drives a DB9. I walk by it every day. Nice reminder if I keep pushing I can own that too.
The difference is normally an extra couple hundred dollars. For the creature comforts and ease of getting around the airport/plane. It is worth it.

You can pay $100 for global entry and skip all of those lines.
When I'm United I usually get upgraded for free but I'd never pay for 1st class unless I'm flying internationally 6+ hours

If I just spent six hours flying across the country, fifteen extra minutes in baggage claim isn't going to destroy my day. Especially when all the stupid, cheap, and lazy people in this world are trying to bring their every belonging with them in their carry-on. There are fewer bags at claims when they do this and it's even quicker to check a bag. I carry on my backpack with my computer, a change of clothes, medicine and toiletries. My suitcase with my clothes is checked. When that plane's boarding, I play on my computer and wait until they're about to close the door before I get on that fricker. Then I plop into my seat, the backpack goes under the seat in front of me, and we're off.
The sheer stupidity and greed of the average flier never ceases to amaze me.
Also, the above is complete bullshite because I have the Gulfstream ready to go 24/7.

Fin!
Are you TSA pre-checked?
I sometimes see a few folks skip pre-check lines. How do I get this?

I knew it from looking at the guy in front of me yesterday that he was gonna recline. Dude was in his 40s wearing a fitted hat backwards

So you can get space in an overhead bin.

Typically by the time I get to the carousel I only wait another 5 minutes max
Do you stop for a meal at Cantina Laredo before hitting baggage claim? My bags come out first, too; however, it's not within 5 minutes.
I rarely check a bag. Only if I'm going skiing or traveling for longer that 5 day. Eff a checked bag.

can't afford the $25 to check a bag?
When your billable rate is over $7 per minute, time becomes of the essence.

Well I do grab a drink on the way. I don't rush to the carousel LOL. I haven't flown anything but AA so I guess I am use to the process and time now. So it never really bothers me.
I would say from the time I leave the plane to the time I have my bag and in my car is no more than 15-20 minutes tops.
My office is on 114/Bush and I take morning flights almost all the time and make it in with more than enough time to spare.

I'm on a flight right now, plane is full. No problems whatsoever with room in overhead bins.

Bunch of poors don't wanna pay $25 to check their bag so they hustle to get that bin space. I'm not a biz traveler but with all the mess with airlines lately I'm just going to take my time.

Actually, I fly internationally a lot more often than that. Nice try though.

The biggest problem with boarding is the amount of crap they allow people to carry on with them. There isn't enough overhead storage for the excessive shite people carry on. One brief case or backpack should be it, no reason to carry a backpack and rolling bag that is pushing the size limit to start with on; check your shite in.
I hate people like you. No overhead (save for exceptionally small planes) was created with your briefcase in mind. It was built for businessmen who go on 3 day trips for them to put their roll on in without having to waste 30 minutes and $50 round trip to check their luggage. Plus I like the piece of mind that I'm not going to lose my luggage, when the airlines often do, and then I'm screwed for a day or two with nothing to change into.
Put your backpack/briefcase where they belong: under the seat in front of you. If it's not a full flight, then its fine, but stop putting your fricking briefcase in there and wasting the overhead to where someone has to check a bag.

I will sit in the waiting area until they do the last call. I don't want to be on an airplane any longer than I have to be. I hate airports more than just about any other places.
