Because you'll never be financially stable.
It depends on your definition of financially stable. My wife has been in school for 8 years, it would have been financially irresponsible for us to have a kid during that time period, because it would we would not be able to support a child and pay for her school at the same time. We would like for us both to have established careers and own a home before having a child. I don't think that's a far fetched idea.

I think it's being overall uneducated. Many of these people are 3rd-4th generations of families that have done the same thing and lived off the teet of others/gubment.
It is just a perpetuated cycle of welfare that is ingrained into their society. PSA's wont do shite.
I understand that. But as a society, why is there no attempt to get the word out. Why is there no attempt to tell people that can't afford to pay their electric bill that maybe they shouldn't have 2 kids over a 3 year period?
I feel like it's taboo to preach personal responsibility as it pertains to child-rearing.

ive always said if you are in a certain income bracket you should be eligible for a one time payment of $10,000 TAX FREE by the government if you get your tubes tied or a vasectomy.
Well medicaid covers tubal ligation so it may not pay a woman to do it but the government will pay for the procedure.

It's their career...I think after having one you can't afford you should be cut off from Gov aid.

I have four kids, and they are nowhere near that expensive.

I was about to say the same thing. 4 kids here as well. $13k a year is way more than I spend on each kid

Short of home schooling your kids I am not sure this is possible.
ETA:Catholic/private schools are a possibility though.
you have to drive on roads the government builds to get to private school

Because having a child is a right, or it's treated as much. I honestly think a lot of shitty people have kids because their lives suck so much that children are the only thing that brings them happiness.

While my life wasnt shitty before kids, my kids are the happiest part of my life now.

No one promotes poorness.
In a way, liberals absolutely do promote poorness. They do so by vilifying those that have become successful. Demanding that the wealth be redistributed, it's not your fault you're poor, we'll give you xyz if you keep voting for us, etc.

And their constituents fall for it hook line and sinker.
