Why do people still drink and drive?

But where is the education on this? People can get gibs for being poor but there are PSA's about people needing a college education to get a better job and not be poor. No one promotes poorness. But people have no problem encouraging anyone/everyone to have kids.
Where's the PSA on not having kids you can't afford?

Wait until you're financially stable before having children.
Sadly the only people that can do this are the top 5% and lower 20%. The catch though is that by the time most are financially stable enough to have kids they are 40+.
Maybe it's just me living in a big city, but honestly I don't know how people afford kids when daycare is $2000+/month/kid. Who can pay $4000/month to send two kids to daycare? When you can pay that, are you under 35?

Better question is why do conservatives get all pissed about welfare, but also get all pissed about giving people free and easy access to birth control/abortion/condoms?
People want to frick a lot, you are going to have to deal with one of these and stop pretending to be prudes. We all know you have weird fricking sex shite going on in private.

Why make this political?
If you do want to this thread can turn very ugly real quick.

i really dont get why its so hard to buy/use condoms. I feel like we should have them more easily accessible. I actually went to a high end sushi spot in LA once that had them in place of mints on the way out. I grabbed a bunch and realized it was condoms when i got to the car. Its incredible to think that a $1 piece of plastic is all thats stopping people from having fun without a lifetime cost of $1M+

Because it all falls under the personal responsibility umbrella

In third world countries, people have large numbers of children because:
1. High infant mortality rate
2. Children are used as a source of income as laborers
3. No access to birth control
In developed nations, the infant mortality rates are low, child labor is outlawed, and birth control is cheap as dirt, so the only people having lots of kids are the ones being paid to. More kids means more federal money.
Children are a financial resource due to welfare in the developed world just as they're a source of income due to child labor in the developing world.

Define "financially stable" as it relates to having children.
Having a steady job. Not having to rely on the government to pay your bills. No having to rely on the government to help you pay for your future child.

Because you'll never be financially stable.

I think it's being overall uneducated. Many of these people are 3rd-4th generations of families that have done the same thing and lived off the teet of others/gubment.
It is just a perpetuated cycle of welfare that is ingrained into their society. PSA's wont do shite.

Short of home schooling your kids I am not sure this is possible.
ETA:Catholic/private schools are a possibility though.

There are literally a class of people that have children just to receive free benefits. You're looking at this as poor planning when you should be looking at it as their plan.
