You don't eject from a helicopter.

You either survive or don't survive the crash.

Good news: They're designed to be survivable in a lot of crash circumstances.

What? My dad wanted to be in the air force. He was just over 5'11" and if I recall that was not tall enough to be a pilot in the AF.

You know how your dad took your dog out to the country to live a longer life with relatives? Yeah that wasn't true either.

You mean they don't eject pilots into rotating blades?

Don't know what I was thinking

This is a cause effect scenario, short guys become fighter pilots for the same reason short guys drive lifted trucks

Meh - jokes should be funnier.

(And I should know.)

I know several pilots in the Army both male and female that range from about 5'3 to 6'5. From all the other pilots in other branches I have come across it is the same thing it is a mixed bag so I do not know where you came up with this conclusion.

Hey, one guy said someone he knew wasn't tall enough to be a pilot, so there's all sorts of weird perceptions out there.

TSO told me he had a female who was 5'1 in a Chinook so I am not sure that would be true.

A cargo plane is flying along, doing its cargo plane thing, when a fighter jet comes up alongside.

The fighter jock decides to poke some fun at the pilot who's forced to fly such an ungainly vessel.

"My plane's so much more advanced than yours. Watch this" says the jock, as he proceeds to do loop-de-loops, barrel rolls, corkscrews, and all manner of fast paced aerial acrobatics.

"Very impressive," responds the cargo pilot. "But that's nothing, watch this." For a half hour the large craft simply plods along straight as an arrow, not even so much as dipping the wings.

After a while, the cargo pilot comes back on the radio and says "So, what'd you think?"

Jock: "What d'you mean? You didn't do anything. You just flew straight for a while."

Cargo: "Oh no, that wasn't all. I got up, stretched my legs, got some coffee, went to the bathroom..."

Air Force. He mainly flew C-130s, KC-97s when he was in SAC and a Cessna "Bird Dog" as Forward Air Control in Vietnam. He earned the Bronze Star, Distinguished Flying Cross and Vietnam Air Medal.

He may have been a short dude but he was the biggest man I've ever known. Miss him.

There is a correlation between heart distance to brain, and the ability to stay conscious during high gravitational stress. It's not always the case, but it is more often than not. This is why a lot of women do well in these tests.
