Lesson never do work for a lawyer unless you are paid up front or you know them very well and even then I wouldn’t do more than I’m willing to lose.

You need to do a better job of deciding which lawyers to do business with. Like anything, there are good and bad.

Have you checked with the State bar to see if they are in good standing?

Each member?

Then letter to each member to let them know you are checking and filing a complaint with the Ethics Commission.

A law was passed stating clients have 2 years to settle injury claims. Next day all attorneys took 2 years to settle. Then after 2 years (they know you are desperate) they offer pennies on the dollar. I had one case less than $900 and the attorney told me to take him to court if I wanted any $.

turn them into the bar association. not paying bills is an ethical violation

+1. A letter from the ODC is going to get most lawyers paying quicker than a lawsuit will.

They are the worst.

One of the biggest reasons I refuse to do any forensic psychiatric work is because lawyers are the only profession that does not care to understand medical office scheduling and they are always the worst to pay their bills.

They also are the most difficult patients to deal with.

Engineers are the best patients. They are intelligent, will read up on their own, ask appropriate questions, maintain compliance, etc.

Hairdressers are the most “colorful” patients. They will take your office staff on a roller coaster of emotions. But it is kind of amusing from the physician side of it.

Nurses and teachers are the most dejected patients. They seem to have so much “perceived stress” that it influences everything they encounter. It’s hard to keep them focused on what they can do to get better.

I have rambled on too long. Too far off topic.

I'm white trash. You owe me and I'll take it out on your business.

A restaurant owed me big. I went and cut their power and gas off and locked the utilities up. Lol.

The legal way sucks. I'd rather screw everyone who screws me.

I'm sure it goes in circles. The lawyers probably have plenty of clients that owes them also.

The work I do for attorneys usually is for a specific case. I copy the particular Judge when sending the 2nd request for payment. Works every time. Hope you’re able to collect.

Why do so many of y’all use such thuggish tactics when dealing with lawyers? It’s a very stressful job and maybe we have a lot on our plate with protecting and serving John Q. Public and yalls money grabs slipped our mind. Patience is a virtue

Find out who their direct competitor is and tell them you want to sue the law firm. I'm sure some other lawyer would love to take them down for a cheap price.

Nice try.

I have never called in sick or cancelled an appointment in 19 years. I have never rescheduled a patient without at least 5 days notice. I pay every single bill that comes in my office within 48 hours.

You, however, come across as a bitter person who is unable to commit and hold up your end of a contract. But I am sure you have a great excuse for all 1000 times it has happened in the past.
