It was so cheap back then. It wouldn’t be worth the effort.

This is why The Mississippi State University gives you some of the best bang for the buck if you choose the right major like Meteorology. Heck you can just be right 40 percent and still pass.

I had the same experience at LSU at that time. Fast forward to my oldest child touring colleges in high school. It became very apparent that college is just a big business these days.

I was sitting in a statistics class...great teacher. Both he and his wife are professors. Both are from India, and I was sitting there wondering if Being in America was all that they heard it was. A couple of weeks later someone after class casually mentioned that all teachers salaries were public information. Between the two they were pulling down 345k a year. A marketing prof was pulling almost that much alone. Paying 3 prof almost 700k a year in salary has to translate to higher costs

Oh I know all too well. $750.00 a month at Park Place.

Holy shite. Thinking I paid around half that back around the turn of the millennium.

I still have the bursar receipt from my early 1990s enrollment at Slow Learners University. Total for 18 credit hours including all fees and book rental was just under $900.

They’re incentivized to spend rather than cut cost.
