U-haul> renters > lower income > more likely to be trashy. This also applies to self storage facilities who pick locations based on density of rental properties.

I've had four paid moves from the government and each time I relocated with a professional mover, it was between $12-15k. Most people would rather save that cash and do it themselves for 10% of the cost. This brings us back to OP's observation- why does visiting a uhaul store feel like you walked into a plasma center or food bank?

U haul by definition is trashy. Only poors who can’t afford movers use UHaul
