Have you ever actually been to California or do you just get on the political board and read and get angry from your shack in LaPlace?

If you travel outside of the LA megalopolis and the Bay, this just isn't true. Especially for the interior - there's a buuunch of good ol' baws. They are just dwarfed in influence and perception by the cities.

Most confederate flags I've ever seen was on my drive through Northern California. Big jacked up trucks everywhere, blasting engines through oversized exhaust pipes, the flag of the confederates dancing blithely in the dry, cool air.

Don't know why I went Cormac McCarthy there.

I would argue that the positive attributes of California exist in spite of their governance - or at least their recent governance.

To be fair he isn't wrong. It's gone into bizarro world lately. And Newsom is only going to make it more extreme. That's why the state needs to split

Real reasons to dislike California: Restrictive laws in many ways (guns), taxes, oppressive business regulation, expensive, moonbat politics in many areas.

But I meet people in the South who act like Californians are awful people and the average person there is similar to the protestors they see on YouTube. In reality, most of my interactions throughout California have been fine, most people are very easy going.

Nothing richer than a bunch of people from backwards shitholes like Louisiana calling out another state’s government.

You know criticizing one's own state government and another state's government are not mutually exclusive, right?

Santa Barbara

Is awesome. I actually like California starting at Santa Barbara and going North.

I'm not a huge fan of Orange County, and I didn't spend any time in LA. I enjoyed Laguna, but didn't go further South, so I can't comment on that.

Used to be better but at least they know how to protect their assets. Louisiana’s government ruins everything it touches. The only positive attributes of Louisiana relate to its people

I rather liked Arcata, Eureka, and Willits...something about the redwoods and cheap weed really appealed to 22yo HempHead.

You are mistaken sir.

The OT does not hate California.

The OT hates Californians.

Most people here are keen enough to differentiate

Actually, don't.

good and bad in every state. I will add that those public schools teachers unions (among other unions) are part of the problem with the states economy.
