Throwing money at the problem isn’t the problem.
The problem is we’re not throwing ENOUGH money at the problem.
We just need to throw more money at the schools to help the effort to dissuade the corruption and perpetuation of illegitimacy.
You’re welcome. I’ve figured it out. I’m goin’ on break.

We educate everyone the same. Everyone has the same opportunities. Our central government doesn’t distribute resources based on educational potential like those other countries do, and that’s something people don’t like to talk about.

The principals in Texas at these large ISDs make $150-175k. Superintendents make 200k+. That isn’t explainable no matter how you spin it chief

quote:or, you know, instead of over kill we could just simply do away with the club fed type place and make everyone that’s in jail be in the same dingy place that would deter them from committing crimes.
Ray Nagin, death. Congressman Jefferson, death.
Maybe with a super stiff penalty instead a couple of years in a club Fed corruption could be weeded out.
That’s just me though.

And the vast majority of them earn every penny of their salaries.

Fraud can be a big problem but school funding is really a school-by-school issue as some could definitely use more funds while others can need a replacement of administrative and/or teaching personnel.

The superintendent earns $300k+ but has absolutely earned it since he manages an enrollment size of 60k+ and we have a top 10 ISD in Texas.

The high IQ voters in Louisiana continue to re-elect known criminals. It’s almost a vote of confidence. We elected EWE 4 times (known, later convicted), our fine residents of NBR just returned Cleo to office, in spite of him on video accepting a sack full of cash, and on and on. And re-elected a trial lawyer governor that was funded by a consortium of crooks that pay off judges and prevent legal reform bc they’ve become multimillionaires from gaming the system.
EBR collects on the order of 50% more per student per year than equivalent school districts in Houston for 50% of their performance. Yet, they want to run Exxon out of town because they aren’t tithing enough.

My wife is a retired teacher. The central office at her school district has 80% of it's employees making 6 figures, while the average teacher is making $50K.
She spent an average of $500 a year on supplies for her classroom out of pocket.
I'm not saying that more money isn't needed, but just like with most govt entities, there is a ton of waste/fraud/abuse that needs to be addressed.

They deserve a third of that. Outside of that one career field, where are they getting paid half that? They aren’t

How many people are the principals in these large ISD’s managing? 50? 75? 100+?
What would a person who manages 50+ college educated employees responsible for an entity with a budget in the $5,000,000-10,000,000 be paid?
How many schools under a superintendent? How much is each school’s budget?
All I’m saying is that good management is worth every penny spent on them. The problem is that bag management in public schools is very hard, damn near impossible, to fire and usually requires 2-3x their salary per year just to mitigate their poor management. Hence even worse spending problems.

Even then is that enough? A state governor can literally sell a Senate appointment and still get his sentence commuted. Even after conviction .
Can't be raised from the dead.

Curious: have you ever managed a campus with 2500+ students (and deal with their parents) and 200+ teachers, administrators and staff?

Don’t be dramatic. None of these principles are managing students. Their 5+ assistant principles are in charge of that.
You and Oilfield know that or should. Which tells me a lot about how much you know about how things actually take place at these sized schools. eta: not sarcasm
