I'm sorry to learn that you don't know how hierarchy of authority works.

You and Oilfield know that or should. Which tells me a lot about how much you know about how things actually take place at these sized schools.

I'd be willing to wager that I know a *tad* bit more about "how things actually take place at these sized schools" than you do.

principles

And, for good measure, it's "principals".

well I think only one country spends more per student than the US... we are spending the money.. it's how we spend it...

explain it to us then. explain why a principal* needs an overpaid administrative assistant and/or a assistant principal for every grade. Did the high school you grew up in, have soo much “hierarchy” between students and principals?

I don’t have beef with teacher pay honestly. They know what they are signing up for when they take those jobs. And they get 2.5 months off every year, plus a ton of holidays. It is unfair we force a lot of them to pay for classroom supplies, but that’s my only complaint.

And full disclosure, neither does my wife who is a teacher. She has a non education degree from a good state school. She teaches because she wants to and tells me all the time how useless, lazy, and ignorant most of her coworkers are.

Our schools don’t have a funding problem. Their biggest problem is they’re run by people more concerned with indoctrinating our kids with leftist progressive propaganda than providing a real education. That’s the problem and has been for almost half a century.

I don't what ISD you are connected to, but just an example that administrative bloat is not ubiquitous throughout the county

More school funding is never the answer, using what they have accordingly is. Pay teachers better to make it a viable career for people rather than something people fall into, use the money to invest in one curriculum instead of switching every few years, properly train teachers how to implement the curriculum, allow creativity, quit giving raises to superintendents just because the parish performed well and put the money in things for the students.

So, 1 school district has shitty people and that's the reason school funding isn't the answer?

The large school board where I previously lived was stealing so much money that the State of Texas had to step in and dissolve it and form a new temporary board. Whenever a school board wants new bonds issued for construction and repair projects, beware. It’s a great opportunity for consultants to be paid and no bid contracts to be awarded.

It’s the same with colleges. Lower admission requirements, create off campus housing shortage, opportunities for contractors and consultants to be involved,......

Additional school funding without any change in strategy, leadership, or personnel rarely (if ever) produces positive results. Too many administrators and politicians care more about special interest (unions in particular) than providing a good education.

That district is firmly on the law enforcement radar now. They deserve to be.
