Navy has them as well.

AF/Navy would be the real battle.

I thought you started one about which special forces group was best.

Maybe I had you confused with another poster or maybe it was your Batman vs. Captain America thread.

Agreed, but the silo-d nukes of apocalyptic nature are run by the air force.

There's no winner but I believe the pure earth-ending firepower advantage under AF command is something I view as the tie breaker.

United States Navy, for the win.

When they need a military base anywhere on the planet, they just fricking bring it with them, and they have 9 to 11 of them at any one time.

I think the navy might have the advantage due to their sub fleet. AF can't detect their location until it's too late and the AF doesn't have the mobility that the navy has.

How are nuclear weapons controlled by the AF going to effect nuclear powered and heavily nuclear equipped submarines 4000 feet underwater? Navy submariners would be the last men standing making them the winner.

The army would capture the air force land bases very easily.

Seems there are things other branches could do to make navy think twice.

Army rounds up Navy's families and keep them on Army bases for instance.

I think the real question is how will a nuke sub survive 4000 ft underwater.

400

I'm dumb. However, they can dive well below 800 Ft.

I'm surprised not of my other bubblehead brethren chimed in yet. The Navy, with it's ships, can dismantle from shoreline inward a few hundred miles. Submarines with tomahawks can destroy from ~1000 miles away. Boomers are where you win. For the silo theory guy, good luck. SLBMs can penetrate the ground and collapse the silo within 30 minutes of signal to launch. Interesting fact, 1 boomer has more nuclear warheads than the air force has in operation at any point.
