God, Mikel, that's cringe worthy. Dude, I'd have given you a 20 spot just so we wouldn't have to discuss it.

Yea now years ago when Ex 1 went back to school, I was slanging pizza just to get the hell out the house when she was studying. I had a chick at the Mall of La see me walking in there with a pizza one weekend and yelled, "[mikel], didn't you go to college?"

Back then I was smug about it b/c I was helping pay for law school. Now I got nothing but a buncha kids. I guess I'm paying for nursing home.

I'm in software so I do consulting after hours. Small/medium businesses. If you have a trade consider applying that trade after hours.

Sidenote:

My friends and I are throwing a day drinking yard party tomorrow that will also be a yard sale. Like 20 of us are bringing all our useless crap and old clothes to the yard to sell while partying, grilling, and listening to music in the sun.

Can't wait

I do some woodworking and basic welding for my customers. I'm not very good at either, but I work for cheap (since they overpay for produce).

I'm thinking about doing this. I'm looking for something easy and I don't have to make that much extra - maybe only about $500 - $1000 extra a month. What are some realistic ideas?

It's trashy as hell, but I have been getting old washers and dryers for free and then putting like $20-30 into them and selling them for $150-200.
Easy extra $2,000 a month.

I work a second nursing job. My only requirement is to sign up for at least 4 shifts a month (usually 12 hour shifts). They don't always need me though (signed up twice this week and both shifts cancelled).

Been doing it for 3 and a half years. I'll quit it whenever I go back to school or am too far along in my pregnancy (whenever this happens)to work 2 jobs.

It's addictive when you have a second job though....you get used to having an easy way to make extra money when you need it. After taxes I usually get $450 a shift worked there.

I'm a landlord of a place in the FQ, and last year I drove my car for Lyft in SF. (that paid around $35/hour) so for 4-6 hours on a Friday night...wasn't bad and I got to meet lots of people all over SF.
