The funny part is that there is a certain percentage of people that think economically this is even possible. Wonder what that percentage is?

Logical reasoning should have been implied in my comment... If everyone had a billion dollars, they would not be able to live the life of a billionaire.

Yeah, except supply and demand is a bitch of a hurdle to overcome.

Am I missing something?

You guys are forgetting that the rest of the world wouldn't get billions.

These dirty arse frickers would put it in a government account to be used to take care of Americans forever. We'd talk about trannies while they siphoned it off for decades.

Then, our top 5% would be billionaires while the rest of us sat at home getting the free shite that makes us lazy.

Would most likely drive the price of gold, silver, and platinum along with whatever else they pulled from that rock way down in price.

We use these precious metals in many forms of technology. With them being cheaper and more readily available more discoveries and other forms of technology would increase in likelihood.

So a loaf of bread cost $80,000 now. Sounds like we are in same boat we are in now. Doesn’t work like that

As supply goes up, demand goes down. Economics 101.

It would nice to get a gold shitter though. Always dreamed about that

The Price Revolution, sometimes known as the Spanish Price Revolution, was a series of economic events that occurred between the second half of the 15th century and the first half of the 17th century, and most specifically to the high rate of inflation that occurred during this period across Western Europe. Prices rose on average roughly sixfold over 150 years. This level of inflation amounts to 1–1.5% per year, a relatively low inflation rate for modern-day standards, but rather high given the monetary policy in place in the 16th century.[1]

Generally it is thought that this high inflation was caused by the large influx of gold and silver from the Spanish treasure fleet from the New World, including Mexico, Peru, and the rest of the Spanish Empire.[2](p70)

(Most) everyone is approaching this backward, if the gold was retrieved and shared equally among say just Americans we wouldn't be billionaires because the price of gold would tank to that of say copper.

Sadly, it will cost NASA $20,000 quadrillion to harvest it.
