Very interesting, moving, program. One of the still-missing crew members of the "Tulsamerican" is a fellow named Russell Landry, and I wonder if he's from Louisiana. My fifth grade teacher, whose maiden name was Landry, had a brother who is MIA from WW2; I wonder if Russell is her brother.

I went to school in Alabama with a kid who’s last name was Landry. Wonder if he was their grandpa.

Tom Landry coached the Dallas Cowboys for decades. Wonder if that means this guy was from Texas?

There was a Ethel Landry from Connecticut. Wonder if he was her husband?

Perhaps, but I was just making the connection between my teacher, who had a brother named Landry (who was crewman on a bomber) and is MIA from WW2, and a man named Landry (who was a crewman on a bomber) and is MIA from WW2.

Odds are quite reasonable to assume someone named 'Landry' is from Louisiana.

Sounds interesting. Nova is just about my favorite program on TV. I'll probably watch it over the weekend sometime.

Was very good... especially the part about the crash differences between a B-17 and B-24

Was also pretty cool to see UNO help find the missing Tuskegee airman

I love Nova... watch it every time it's on

Very good, program.
I wonder if they go back to search for the other two missing crewmen or for the co pilot of the B 17?

Simply due to the placement of the wings; the low wings on the B-17 helped disburse impact while the fuselage on the B-24 took it all.

For sure. Especially at the time of the most recent census which was still 20 years before this Landry went missing also showing Landry's were in nearly every state.
