Who remembers the Haunted House at Lakeside Mall?

I seem to recall at some point it was in the actual mall, then it shifted to the parking garage by the movie theater. Growing up we’d always go trick or treating then hit 2-3 haunted houses after.

We did the same. I don’t remember it in the mall but I remember it in the parking garage. We’d do that one, Chinchuba and Sheriff Foti’s in City Park.

Chinchuba in Marrero was on another level.

Chinchuba was the best in the NO area (specifically the westbank) until House of Shock re-wrote the standards.

Was there running water back in those days?

I remember it both inside and later outside the mall. It was always a good time to hop from haunted house to haunted house all over Metairie

I volunteered at Chinchuba haunted house from 9th-11th grade and Lakeside haunted house in 12th grade. Is was a fun way to earn my service hours. Awesome time!

I remember it being both upstairs and downstairs at lakeside, you had to walk out a set of steps to get out of it. Then it moved to the parking lot at some point.

In the 80s and early to mid 90s, there were haunted houses everywhere.
Chinchuba
Foti's in City Park
Different schools and churches would have them
They random haunted house that would be set up in and abandoned retail location
I'm old enough to remember when House of Shock was set up in someone's backyard in Metairie.
