I’ve been for a week once. It got down to 8 degrees.

Being a SWLA and SETX guy my whole life it was a shock. The learning curve to dealing with a real winter is real, but can be learned. Snow tires or chains? Shoveling snow? Salting driveway? Scraping a windshield?

Would be fun to laugh at everyone when they think it gets hot.

Been in both but never lived there. Son is in Colorado.
Colorado has better skiing, fly fishing, hiking, hunting, camping, concerts (red rocks)

Cost of living is pretty high. Crime is pretty low in most areas. I assume the public schools are pretty good but I don't have kids.

Lots of awesome things to do though. Very easy to be active in this state. Hiking, fishing, boating, winter sports, etc...

Snow tires or chains?

Neither.

Shoveling snow?

Can usually do it with a broom.

quote:

Salting driveway?

Never. Ruins the concrete.

quote:

Scraping a windshield?

Huge pain in the dick. That's why I park in the garage.

A lot of people here don't have A/C so when it gets hot, it's pretty hot. Don't buy into that dry heat bs.

Denver’s great! If you’re worried about missing football don’t fret. Stoney’s in downtown Denver is Saints and LSU headquarters. Sometimes over 100+ saints fans watching the game on Sunday morning.

I watched a video of some guys coming down from Black Bear Pass in a couple of Jeeps. It was like watching one of those dudes climb a radio tower.

Boulder checking in.

Make sure you buy your suspenders online before you get there, you’ll blend right in.

Denver public schools are terrible. Many other good public school systems in the state, however.

It's not that bad, just don't put a tire over...that's all.
Of course, a sneeze, seizure, panic attack will drop you several hundred feet, but thems be the breaks...

Speaking of, have good brakes...lol

I can see the wisdom in that. The really hairy bit was when they couldn't make the switchbacks. So they had to creep forward an inch at a time then stop, crank the wheel the other way, backup a few inches, stop, turn the wheel back, inch forward, etc.

Moab has stuff worse...

It's that 4-point turn you just need a spotter...

If you don't have a spotter, then, yeah...PUCKERFACTOR5

Haha nice. What a small world sometimes

If you see a guy with a Golden/Lab mix with an auburn leash shout at me. If or when I see your LSU flag, I may shout at you so don’t be surprised
