I agree 1000% here but as beautiful as this area is, there aren’t a lot of jobs in the area.

I did Black Bear pass during a rain storm. I had my Go-pro on on the passenger side mirror. It's a pretty amazing video coming in above the clouds. Sliding around on the wet rocks was pucker worthy though.

It definitely does but there's some pretty serious stuff above Ouray that I've been on.

Yes, and you MUST cool off.

I lived in Stmbt Sprgs for 2 years.

If I were to hit 6 numbers on a Saturday night, I would have a house there. I'll take questions if you promise to quit with the shite.

I'm retired and well set financially. Cost of living is actually not too bad at all.

Legalizing pot ruined Colorado. Went through there last winter - the towns are dumps now compared to a few years ago.

Got back from Colorado today. Was in Colorado Springs and Estes Park. I’d move today if I could

A lot of people here don't have A/C so when it gets hot, it's pretty hot. Don't buy into that dry heat bs.

Bull-fricking-shite. Not the part about people not having A/C. The other part. If you think dry heat is the same as humid heat, you haven't felt both. It's still hot, but humidity makes you sweat your arse off and smothers you. Give me just plain ole hot any day of the week.

And same goes with the cold. The air here is humid, so when it's in the teens, the moisture in the air is in the teens as well. Not the same as the cold there. In the teens there is manageable with layers on and the right clothing. You can wear three layers in our winters here, and it pierces through all 3 unless you're wearing a layer of wool.

I don’t think he once tried to compare dry heat and humid heat. He was just saying that you want to have A/C.

I’m considering a move to the Denver area. Kids, grandparents in my current area (NOLA). Having them around makes it easier but there’s no career growth opportunities left here and I’m continuing to see this area get left behind. Would live south of Denver in the Highlands Ranch area. Again... housing though.

Went to Colorado last summer for a concert at Red Rocks and did a little sight seeing

I swear 90% of the women there had on tight black yoga pants. No matter what they were doing.

My wife said the state must issue them to the ladies when they move it.

Yeah, a few offshoots at Engineer's Pass will have you white-knuckled for the entire descent

I grew up in Louisiana. I know the difference. I didn't say it was the same. What I'm saying is that hot is still hot.

This part is accurate.

I’ve been traveling to CO semi frequently for work and did a week’s vacation in Pagosa Springs/Durango in June. It’s absolute heaven. Didn’t want to come home. We did Wolf Creek Pass (played in snow in June), white water rafting, trout fishing, Treasure Falls, Piedra Falls, Mesa Verde NP, Durango to Silverton Railway, etc etc etc. There were San Juan National Forest access points all over. We barely scratched the surface.

Seemed like cost of real estate in Pagosa and Durango were fairly reasonable.
