I know I keep blowing up the OT with these threads. Trying to get out of this swamp and have narrowed it down to New Hampshire and Colorado.

Leaning a bit towards Colorado, but I’ve only passed through the southern tip. Never been to the Denver/Aurora area. Friends of mine went up to Aspen in the 90s to visit one of his girlfriends, but ended up being a weird situation.

Anyway, thoughts on Colorado from those who have lived there or spent significant time there?

TIA

I went to Colorado once. Now I drive a Subaru.

ETA: was in Colorado for 10 days last month and other than downtown Denver it was beautiful. I'd love to live there. Stayed in Ft. Collins and Boulder for a few nights, really fun cities with a lot to do. They cater to the active outdoor types.

Lots of homeless and poor people have moved into Denver recently thanks to the weed.

However girls in Colorado are hot and are the outdoorsy type. Colorado also has one of the lowest obesity rates in the nation.

New Hampshire is also beautiful but more expensive to live in.

If you are married and have a family, go to New Hampshire. If you are single, Colorado wins hands down.

Than Colorado? The Denver metro can be quite pricey

One my best friends lives in Denver, and has been there 20 years. I go somewhat often to visit him. Denver is very crowded, bad traffic, and housing is expensive.

Great city otherwise with tons to do.

I have family in Colorado, they love it there minus the homelessness in the Springs. If you find a small town outside of the big cities, it's really a nice place to live.

Yea, I thought so too. Started looking at the housing prices but they’re actually not too crazy. Those idiots in Lafayette are trying to price their homes at similar prices. Average houses in Lafayette are now like 400k. Somebody needs to tell them baws that River Ranch ain’t that special.

Beautiful place with tons to do regardless of the season. Sporting events there are a great time, the food isn't bad compared to South Louisiana. People can be a little weird depending on the area but its a great place, esp. around the Denver area. If you move there, you have to enjoy the cold as it gets cold as frick.

Colorado around Denver has seen housing prices Double in the last 4 years. I enjoy Denver and fly in/out of here several times a month.

Denver is a great place. It is a clean city with plenty of neighborhood bars and restaurants. The cost of living in Denver is going to blow your mind though.

Boulder, CO is a really nice place too. If you are a conservative, Boulder may be too funky for you. Lots of Boulder reminds me of the old Chimes St. crowd North of LSU in the 80s/90s

Lots of MJ in shops, stores, streets. If vaping/smoking MJ offends you, this place isn't for you.

Denver is a very healthy city. Very few overweight people.

Most Importantly: I suggest spending time in this place before you move up here.
