This board loves to shite on BR, Nola and Louisiana in general

I see that, which is kind of sad. I get the frustrations with the politics, but I have had a pleasant experience so far.

This. I have lived in Clarksville, Nashville, Seattle (Tacoma), Colorado Springs, Dothan, and Baton Rouge. To me, it seems like every other mid to major city in the country. Low income areas are bad but the areas where people meet or exceed the COL standards are nice.

Out of all the places I've lived, Baton Rouge has the best food by far.

Agreed. Ever been to Australia? Everything there wants to kill you.

Somebody's about to get paid... although I am sure the settlement won't come close to compensating for being locked up most for that long.

I honestly can't imagine trying to build/expand a freeway through a swamp in today's permitting environment

I watched a documentary on the basin bridge the other day, its crazy to think they got it done in three years. I couldn't fathom how long it would take today.

issue automatic tickets for speeding on that bridge

As much as I hate places with speed cameras, They should have a speed camera station every mile. People will stop speeding when they receive 20 separate tickets in the mail.

I guess when you are at the bottom of the food chain, you gotta try something new to carve out new market share.

...It’s estimated around 1000 homeless eke out an existence below the strip, living on food rescued from bins and the odd cash handout from jubilant gamblers who struck lucky.

Residents - dubbed 'mole people' - range from full-time workers, unable to afford housing in the cash-rich city, to gambling addicts and drug addicts, who occupy three separate tunnels depending on whether they prefer crack, meth or heroin.

But all risk disease from living alongside rats in unsanitary conditions, bites from venomous spiders and drowning in the flood defence pipes.

While the City nestles in the Nevada Desert, where rainfall is rare, the 600 miles of flood channels - build in the 1980s - can fill up at a foot per minute during a storm, with currents as fast as 25-30mph.

In 2016, a flash flood killed three residents including Sharon, who had featured in a YouTube documentary the year before....

This is terrifying and has to be a horrible way to die
1. Cump11b
2. 1 1/2 months
3. Yes, I think so
4. Made off color joke trying to be funny (same comment made by many people)
5. No
6. Said he will never be baited again and is eternally sorry for engaging in such stupidity. He will never do it again. He is a really good dude irl, I bought his house when I moved to BR.
7. The admin team is a great and wonderful bunch which has provided a place for current and future happenings which is unrivaled. I have never lived in a place with a board such as this, it is truly amazing.

Stopped reading here... should die by fire.

ESPN had something that showed that concussions in games and practices were down 25% last year with players who wore the new helmets

If a player doesn't want to wear the new helmet, they should just make them sign something where the player acknowledges the old helmets lead to more injuries and agree to absolve the NFL of any and all liability from injury if the old helmet is worn.
Kill them all with fire

That’s venom. That’s all venom. And you can smell it, it’s everywhere in the air. I disturbed the nest but I didn’t disturb them all, there’s still a bunch of them in the nest.

Focusing the camera lens inside the discarded vehicle, it becomes apparent just how deeply embedded the nest had become; completely swallowing the driver’s seat and bulging through the vents. The video then gets even more skin-crawling when Verret begins to disturb the wasps, sending them buzzing this way and that in a way which made me itch thousands of miles away in England. The wasps swarmed thick and fast; a hellish, ferocious cloud of black and yellow.

oh hell NO. Que the flame thrower drone... Set this crap on fire! Holy shite!

There is enough statistical data to determine that almost none of that would have any effect on insurance rates, and #1 would be DISASTROUS for our court system in ways your feeble brain can't comprehend.

Care to elaborate? I am not from here so I am getting a crash course on insurance in LA... when I moved here my premiums skyrocketed

Why are the Brits the laughing stock of the world?

They lost most of their badass baws in WWI and WWII, thus leaving the country to be run by the bitches who survived or didn't go to war. Thus, the pussification spread. However, most of the world problems of today can be traced back to their shitty decisions so frick the Brits.

All of their stuff should fit into a 26' truck. Did they pack and go straight to the destination?

Edit: I do see this is the case with their expedited option. Thank you for the advise, I will look into this.

I thought about this as well as PODS, but they would probably need multiple. I do not know how cost effective that would be.
