The most interesting thing about this thread is how many people don't understand the meaning of the term "raised"

Billy Cannon threw me off because he was not born in Baton Rouge (or even Louisiana)
He was born in Philadelphia MS near the Choctaw reservation (you can tell by his high cheekbones he had Indian blood) but his father, like so many others, moved to BR in WWII to work at the plants.

At one point it was a popular joke that all native BRians were born in MS.

Joe Osborn (no "E") was born in microscopically tiny Mound LA and apparently raised in Shreveport (meaning Ricky Nelson's guitarist, the great James Burton, and bassist were both from S'port). I've never heard of him being connected to BR.

He was a notable figure in The Wrecking Crew.

“You never have to stop the tape because of a mistake by Joe Osborn. There just aren't any." - Roy Halee, Simon & Garfunkel's engineer and co-producer

She lived in BR or her family? Her Wiki page doesn't mention BR.

Her father was a military officer so she moved around a lot as a child

She was born in Dallas, but if she lived in BR as a kid for quite some time, we have a winner.

I couldn't find anything.

Bob Pettit, Jim Taylor, Jimmy Clanton for the older folks.

Warrick Dunn, Aaron Nola, Randy Jackson, for the younger people.
