Upon further review, it was her family. Sharon was not raised here. Family lived in Broadmoor for a while and sister went to HS there.

Sorry.

This being the case, I'd have to go with Jimmy Taylor.

Geezus, people. The thread title says BORN & RAISED in Baton Rouge. That eliminates 99% of the people suggested so far. Including Johnny Rivers FYI.

And Andy Pettitte.....wiki says he moved to Texas while in the 3rd grade. Born in BR, but not raised in BR.

I'm not going to read all 7 pages of this thread, but has anyone mentioned these two?

Major General John A. Lejeune, 13th Commandant of the Marine Corps

John Allen Muhammad, mass murderer and co-conspirator in the Beltway sniper attacks

My son just started 3rd grade. Does that mean he’s not raised here? Sure as hell feels like he’s from here and raised here. We would move to Boise ID tomorrow and my son would be Baton Rouge through and through.

Well, no, of course not. Massachusetts HATES the Yankees.

Quick, pronounce the consonant "R".
