Usually leash law for dogs. Not for cats.
Which is complete BS. You own an animal, keep track of it and keep it off my fricking vehicles.

Neither, they are both irresponsible pet owners.

hat's where I am at with it but the Karen's in my hood blame the dog owner 100% and called the cops on him.
Not sure why people with dogs are expected to be more responsible with their animals than others. The dogs were no bigger than the cat.
Neither are my animals, just found it interesting that everyone jumped on the dog owner.

Dogs always get the benefit of the doubt...

I want to know how in the hell the dogs caught the cat. Cats are quick as hell, and can climb

Homeowner B has an "outside cat" that roams freely.
Goddamn these people are on the same level at pit bull owners of trash.
I got so fricking tired of cat prints across my vehicles until I enclosed my carport.

Those dogs did the Lord's work. Cats fricking suck

Homeowner B should buy homeowner A a beer for helping to get rid of that stupid cat

I'll send my cat over to even the score.

Iirc animals are considered property. So liability would be limited to the value of the property equivalent. Which is, to say, nothing. It doesn’t matter. Report to animal control and move on.
Animals are indeed property but they differ from other property law in a lot of ways. Pets are almost never considered to have zero value. Some have low value and some are worth 10s of thousands of dollars.
The OP's question reads like the start of a law school exam question in Property. It will depend highly on local laws and a common-law reading of it may be wildly incorrect in a Napolionic Code state.

3.50% for each.
The other 93% is society, because we're all in this together.

Anyone that owns a cat and lets it roam around and frick other people’s property up is a piece of shite. What is the point of owning an outside cat?
Posted on 11/9/20 at 6:49 pm to sabes que
sabes with the right question. was the cat declawed? (couldn't climb tree or defend himself)
Posted on 11/9/20 at 7:02 pm to jeffsdad
Why are leash laws only applicable to dogs? Should be all animals. I remember as a kid one neighbor had ferrets and another had macaws (parrots) and the ferrets got the macaws. I believe it was an expensive issue, but seems similar enough to me. Although the macaws were likely caged or in a house.

Homeowner A was in violation of your leash laws and is at fault.
Posted on 11/9/20 at 9:28 pm to shawnlsu
fricking cat owners can suck it.
Why is it OK for outdoor cats to roam freely, but dogs have to leashed?
If you aren't keeping tabs on your pet, then you have no right to complain when something happens to it.
