OSHA does not have near enough resources to scour through employee records to determine who is or isn’t vaccinated. Couple in the need for boosters and you can see how this will become an impossible task.

Will the burden lie on the companies to self regulate who is vaccinated at their facilities? This will add an increased cost to the bottom line as well as the potential to lose some valuable employees. It will also make some who are not in favor of such vaccinations very reluctant to work for them. I have heard that around 40% of those who work in nursing homes are vaccinated. How will these places fill these vacancies?

You think the shelves are empty now? Employers can get people to work for them now. Walmart. Cost Co. Subway. Rouses. Jiffy Lube. Major car manufactures. Meat processors. The list is endless……. This will completely upend business as we know it. All of this for a virus with a 99.7% survival rate.

The goal of the marxists is chaos. If implemented this will single-handedly throw this country into a low we have not seen in a generation.

This is how OSHA pretty much works now.

Just don't get caught in violation.

You think most companies really wants to pay for drug testing and enforcement? You think they give a frick if you smoke weed? OSHA makes them and they lose good employees because people would rather smoke weed than maintain employment with them.

You don't know OSHA very well, do you? This is how it is right now.

And what they will do to enforce compliance is hit hard and heavy on a few companies and the rest will self enforce to avoid paying a shite ton of fines.

The employers will. OSHA guidelines are almost universally self-enforced.

It’s not whose going to.. it’s that company owners will fall in line and enforce it to avoid potential enforcement. Basically self imposing.

We got the email Friday that basically it’s going to happen. And this is in Texas

Companies already have to report LTA's Man-hours, LTIR's, etc... I can see OSHA just adding it to the existing form.

I have been on construction sites for almost 25 years now (industrial and commercial) and I have NEVER seen an OSHA rep face to face.
I've heard, "so and so's jobsite was visited by OSHA the other day" but never met an OSHA employee personally.

ETA: I like my chances on this with my employee count under 10. I'm doing my best to keep it this way.

As others have said, yes it will be the company's responsibility to enforce

Not really, all it will require is for HR to track the records. If the company chooses to enforce the policy, the employees will need to submit the proper forms/docs to HR, and HR updates their files. Then if termination is required, you start the process

as well as the potential to lose some valuable employees.

This along with further narrowing the potential employee pool is what will ultimately do companies in.

Supposedly you can spot some if you head out to Honeywell Geismar right now.

It’s the government.

They’ll try to enforce, whack a few companies, then realize it’s impossible to enforce and it will fall by the waste side.

Is this a permanent rule? Or an emergency thing? Will unvaccinated employees be subject to weekly testing & masks indefinitely unless policy is changed at some point? I tried reading the fact sheet released, and it seems like it’s a permanent policy. Ugh.
