I can at least understand doing something like this if I already had a trip planned and had a free date on my itinerary. The person I know specifically planned a trip overseas with a Taylor Swift concert as the primary purpose.

I know a lady who took her daughter from PA to Ireland to see a TS show. Flights, hotel, meals, tix, etc on that trip cost less than 2 tickets at home. It was a present for her daughter plus an essentially free trip for both of them vs going to the show at home. Snuck in a visit to England as well.

As to the prices of shows, part of the increased cost is a loss of revenue from album sales. We buy music by the song now so the business model of artists has changed. It's mostly merch & tix now for most artists. An extremely small number make significant money on song sales.

Half the stuff you sell for $500+ I view as total garbage.

If someone is paying for the tickets, they are worth it.

My wife and daughter saw her in Nashville in the rain....paid $3400 for 2 floor seats if memory serves. I find it outlandishly ridiculous but they had a big time. 5 years from now we won't know where that $3400 went but they will remember going to the concert the rest of their lives. No difference in spending $10K to go to the rose bowl and SEC CG....we did that in 2017

Think that is insane, I saw a site that has tickets for her Superdome show and the cheapest are in the mid $2K rand with the highest being=========$10,758

I'm taking my wife, draught, and sister to London to see her on Aug 20th. It was cheaper than seeing her in New Orleans.

Erroneous! My truck only cost 14 Taylor Swift tickets. A veritable steal...

We want fairness, equality and equity throughout the world. Why can’t the little poor girl attend your concert? Is she not worthy? LOL

Profited on nosebleeds at a rate of over 1100% ROI for the New Orleans show.

My daughter got 4 tickets to the TS concert in New Orleans at ~$180 each when they went on sale almost a year ago.

She is going with 3 of her friends, despite getting offered ridiculous $$ (>$5,000) for each ticket.

My wife and daughter have seen her 2 or 3 times, Nola, Dallas, and Houston. Can’t bitch because me and my son go to a different baseball stadium every year for a weekend, fly fishing trips every year somewhere in the Rockies, bowl games, etc. Can’t take it with you.
