I'm in this boat. Except I did have the flu about 8 years ago. It wasn't that bad and I was only down for about 3 days. It was kind of a nice excuse to miss work and be a lazy bum for a few days.

To each their own. Some people just have weak genetics, immune systems, whatever, and maybe it helps them. Others, never get it and never get sick. Everyone is different and knows their body. With that said, there are probably tons of people who should get it, but don't, and tons who get it, but would be fine without.

Feck no. I've had my lifetime dose of Guillain–Barré. There's nothing like having to relearn to walk in middle age.

Probably wont but only because I usually don't. I had the "seasonal" flu about 8 or so years ago and It wasn't pleasant but it wasn't horrendous - I went duck hunting twice while I had it. I have had COVID twice and did not have any symptoms other than a fever and a headache for about 36 hours - this was back when having a fever was a death sentence or otherwise I would have never known I had COVID. That said the seasonal flu kills an awful lot of people, mostly older people and people with other issues, and the seasonal flu vaccines have probably saved a LOT of lives - as I get older I am more apt to get it, but I only do so if I happen to be at a doctors for something else or think about it while at a pharmacy.

I got mine yesterday and my arm is sore. We travel a lot on those long skinny petri dishes in the sky so I want to be protected as best I can. Plus, I'm around my grandkids and we all know how they carry germs. Haha. People have choices and can make their own decisions and it's not any of my business so I dont judge them.

I'm up for my yearly Pfizer and Moderna boosters that I get injected directly into my stinkhole. Can never be too careful.

You have better odds asking your wife for “extra services” after a fight while she’s doing laundry than having the flu shot prevent the flu.

I usually get one every year but this year I'm going the N95 mask and hand sanitizer route.

I love seeing those goons faces turn red when I walk into Walmart with the N95 on. They can't see me laughing at them but I am.

This is what people need to know. This vaccine is not worth the risk of GBS and possible lifelong paralysis. It's also not as rare as people think. There were 3 of us in the hospital with it at the same time.

Please really think about this! It's awful. I was in my 30's and in great shape.

do you work from home? I've never gotten a flu shot or covid shot but I feel like I get hit by it once a year at the casino, and I caught covid 's 2nd wave at universal studios.

that being said, I've never had to go to the doctor for treatment. I just feel like shite for a couple days, sleep and recover
