Samsung phones fall apart and blow up though.

You mean like the 6S? Yet another feature that Apple stole from someone else.

There's not enough "stuff" to justify me paying 250 more for the X when I upgrade my 6+ to an 8+

If they are going to look and act like an Android but cost a lot more, then why am I not buying an Android instead?

Look and act like an andriod? What are you talking about?

$1000 bucks for what?

1) They needed to limit demand somehow since they couldn't get enough OLED screens to make this just the new model at the same price.

2) Apple likes to charge it's customers as much as they are able to.

3) They actually have added some nifty camera tech on the front of the phone. Considering how much this board skews to adult men, most here won't see the value in it. For people that like posting selfies, especially SnapChat filter selfies, ie kids and women, this will be the phone to have for a while.

Originally thats what I assumed Apple was trying to get people to do. For example, I have the 7+. I just thought that this phone would last me until the 9+ came out. Now it seems like they are spliting the iphone tirms into three different categories.

...aaaand this describes just the kind of useful idiot Apple loves. A thousand bucks for fricking Snapchat.

On a cost per use basis, nothing is cheaper than an iphone. I don't care if it were $2,000 it would still be the cheapest thing anyone would own on a cost per use basis.

I know people that pay more for tons of items that they only use a few times or just let sit in their house.

Except maybe the device that's 20 percent cheaper, was first to market with the technology Apple touts as game changing when they finally get around to introducing it, and is used just as much in almost identical manners. You're not smart. That's okay, though, because Apple marketing loves you.

I get a new phone every 6 months or so through work. Because that's how long I go before I break it.

I don't think I'll get this one when I break my next one though because Apple is still going to have an iphone 8.

I'd probably have to just buy it on my own. So probably not.

I disagree. But then again, I'm not buying an iphone over an andriod because it looks pretty.

I want the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. The Note 7 (the exploding one) was so much fun - I loved doodling. Going to see the cost of swapping to that this weekend, lads
