You probably have me beat, but not by much.

I’m sure there are plenty of people who never left the US before.
For some people they may not simply be able to afford to travel outside the country.

If you think lobbying firms and law firms are non political and aren’t using tax payers dollars, you’re an idiot.
Wait, exactly what honey pot of tax payer dollars do you think goes to these lobbying firms? They're financed by special interest groups largely. I know 4 attorneys in DC, 2 of which are lobbyists. All work at large firms. All privately funded by special interest groups. My brother-in-law has worked in 2 private equity firms in DC and while they surely invested politicians money, that is not directly funded by the tax payer. Most of these politicians are wealthy on their own and/or take kickbacks. Politician salaries aren't that high, certainly not high enough to be investing in most of these PE groups.
Private money is the real money in DC.
And I said non-politician, not non-political.

shite man, yesterday I listened to two dot Indians try to find the correct English words to argue with. It was a great experience. Two days ago, I saw a Chinese lady, and then I saw that black guy with the long neck on Friday. Just this morning, I saw a bum sleeping under an overpass and a smoking hot cougar or milf driving a Range Rover.
I know of restaurants with Chinese menus. I ate at a Mexican restaurant the other day where the entire menu was in Mexican, and I couldn't understand the waitress. There are all kinds of nasty places around, like Ethiopian and Greek.
How many cultures are you honestly missing out on?

I'll say this, I was hugely impacted as a person by just my brief time overseas.
Did an exchange trip in high school where we stayed with families in Paris and went to a local high school and a studied in Austria for a summer in college. Between that did a bunch of family trips to both East and West Europe (and a few in Canada).
It really changes your perspective on things.
But we never went on a cruise or to Disney.

Dis guy. International trips are expensive. Not on my agenda for a while.

I haven't traveled outside of the USA as much as I would like.
Been to Kenya, Mexico, and Costa Rica. England if you count my layover at Heathrow on the way to Kenya. Jamaica and Grand Cayman if you count short stops on cruises.
Would LOVE to go and explore Europe with my husband but international travel has to take a backseat to other more urgent priorities at the moment. One day though. If I go to Europe..I wanna do it right. Save up enough to be able to spend a proper amount of time there.

I already mentioned in a previous post that he needs to learn how to live. Such a myopic viewpoint and sheltered life is not truly living life, just being “alive”.

why would anyone want to to some communist third world shithole like New Zealand when we have places like Fredericksburg and Destin here?
