How about this one:

I've worked with more people from Central and South America than you. My grandpa is from Mexico City.

Is that better?

It's only out of utter stupidity that people think calling a Mexican Mexican is some type of racial slur. It shows that you are the one who doesn't understand the culture. In fact, a sign on the outside said "Real Mexican Tacos". I wouldn't expect them to have Honduran tacos

I was replying to you saying the menu was in “Mexican” instead of spanish. That’s something redneck trash say.

is really more of a gringo term, until the last couple of decades, you would never see any food in Mexico that would be recognizable to gringos as what we believe "Mexican" food to be, they just realized how popular Tex-Mex is up here and began to cater, so to speak, to the gringos

Your alive and my alive seem to be vastly different. You'd rather struggle to move around some historic monument next to 4000 Asians with 1 million power zoom lenses in a third world country. I'd rather sit on a houseboat overlooking the swamp in tranquility all day. Maybe go fishing if I want, maybe not

Dis guy. International trips are expensive. Not on my agenda for a while.

Not really, relative to a lot of American vacations.

It can be significantly cheaper to go to Europe than Disney. It can be significantly cheaper to go to Europe than skiing (although I love skiing).

It is downright cheap to go to places like Banff or Central America.

People just use this excuse without doing much research. When I was in Croatia and the Czech Republic, the exchange rates were even favorable to the US dollar and those countries are absolutely gorgeous with very unique cultures.

If you don't understand the differences in cultures throughout Central and South America, you have no room to tell me anything. Maybe you should hop on a plane and go experience them. Spend all of your money to go see something I have seen for free. I have done it all right in the good old US of A (except for lower S. American countries)

Nothing to do with wealth. I have been traveling extensively since college. Anyone can travel...if they truly want to, regardless of what they say about monetary constraints.

Been working out of Trinidad the last few months. Nice people and they love expats. Beautiful countryside but crime is rampant. They have a holiday once a week it seems. Oh and they know how to party! It’s nice to see different cultures. They are having issues with Venezuelans flooding in by the thousands due to the current situation in Venezuela. Venezuela is a shite hole. Has the potential to be a very wealthy country due to resources but the commies in power won’t let the people breathe. Sad to see.

pretty sure you're trolling but that's pretty comical to say that because you know a couple of people from those countries that live here, you are completely immersed in the culture of those countries

I've traveled internationally on a sporadic basis but hadn't traveled abroad for a long while until recently. Wife and I have since done trips to 9 countries in the last 18 months or so, and we're sort of like "why the hell haven't we been doing this more"?

I'm not a shoestring budget traveler, but you can go abroad for pretty cheap if you want, and once you get used to the hassle of it and get your stuff in order (passport issues, global entry, mileage/status/etc.) the scope of it isn't nearly as much of a burden.

I don't blame people who spend 10 days in Disney or Alys for 8k-10k, and maybe it'll make more sense for us to use our time down there eventually, but might as well venture out while you're relatively young.
