Me. I am paying less than half of what I used to for my gas guzzling SUV. More money for me and the kids. Good times.

Probably not much money at risk here.

You don't even know what you don't know.

Wealthy folks don't worry about salaries, they have proceeds from trusts and investments.

There's at least several folks here who drive a vehicle worth more than your house. Don't be stupid in betting someone you don't know. You've already shown yourself to not be wise.

You sound poor, living vicariously through us wealthy folks.

There are several posters with cars worth more than (at the least) $200,000?

Yea, because there are no white collar folks who work in oil and gas.

i have more money in my pocket since I'm not having to pay like $75 a tank now...

but, unfortunately, the drop in prices hit my hometown area hard, and my dad is currently out of work because of the lack of work in the o&g sector.... it sucks because he's a beast of a worker, but is just in the wrong market....

Laid off from Schlumberger (wireline oilfield services) earlier this year. I was married and wifey made sure every dime was spent that I saved for times like this. It hasn't been good.....
Sorry to hear that. I'm getting married later this year. I'm funding the entire wedding. I have to keep putting the fiancé in check over spending.

The irony of his post was telling me I don't know what I don't know then says several posters have cars worth more than my house. He doesn't know how much my house is worth.

I only drive when I don't need to. I'm planning a trip from Baton Rouge to Lafayette and back for 4:36 tomorrow morning. Then, when I get back home, I'm parking my car and walking to Geismar for work.
