How much consulting and contracting goes on in the O&G industry? Send like a ton of money to spend on things like that.

I got laid off back in August. But I have since moved on and gotten a very nice job outside of the oil field. Life is good

Why buy a whole tank at $1.80/gallon when you know next week it will be $1.65?

That's just simply planning ahead. Something O&G baws don't wanna hear about.

A lot when time are good. They start keeping things in house when prices drop, hence our struggle.

Maybe, probably, I bet I am better at managing money than you.

Filling up halfway to save money.

Someone who is trying to save money. It beats filling up for $23.

That doesn't work the way you think it works... I hope you're trolling.

How is it saving money if you're just going to put $5 in the next day?

$5 the next day gets nearly twice as much gas.

My paycheck get bigger with lower gas prices. My risk for property value goes up though.

Part of living in south LA. I would rather pay an extra $10/week at the pump to keep the tax dollars rolling in.

I'm an auditor in Houston so it affects a lot of the companies our firm audits, but auditors are somewhat shielded from it because audits are for the most part required. Consulting takes the biggest hit of the Big 4 services.

One of my clients was planning on going public so we were preparing for that but they decided that wasn't feasible with the economy recently which is awesome because IPOs suck

My time is worth way more than the ~1.50 I'd save.

So far no, I'm a consultant and my wife works for a major. We've been extremely lucky, but have also planned and saved in case things really go south.
