Jon bel Edwards is gonna be making a huge order of truck nuts in the next few weeks for all his IT guys and girls.

You're set baw.

No, they will buy them from IBM for 2x the price and they will only work with F350s and will charge the state $80/year per truck nut for maintenance and support.

I only drive when I don't need to. I'm planning a trip from Baton Rouge to Lafayette and back for 4:36 tomorrow morning. Then, when I get back home, I'm parking my car and walking to Geismar for work.

Why would you abuse gas like that? You know their are people who can't afford fuel? Well at least you are keeping the remaining oil field baws employed.

Not sure. Just so y'all know, I'm not happy about LA people losing jobs.

But Texans? Shoot.

I hope when they say everything is bigger in Texas they're talking about the layoffs too. Texans need to be taken down a peg.

Everyone in a town like Lafayette will be affected by it if it lasts a lot longer.
It's going to last a lot longer. I know a lot of people high up (at Chevron, especially) and they have been all gloom and doom for a while now. We're talking 20 years of downturn.

And USL used to have a great COMPS program, but they refused to keep it up to speed. We had a chance to be at the forefront of the internet, but for whatever reason (insert ugly coonass comment), we didn't.

And really, O&G will eventually fade away regardless of the price of a barrel, so the failure to branch out is an enormous mistake.

If the price at the pump really effects you, then you are doing it wrong

On a more serious note, only an idiot could not have seen what is happening now in regards to oil.

Probably 5 to 10, but they'll be out in 3 to 7 with time off for good behavior.
