My 4 series is the same size. Don't need larger.

I don't agree. I still see a great number on the road along with the crossover and smaller SUV's. It seems that every other car on the road where I reside is a Honda Accord/Civic - Toyota Camry.
Yea, not sure what OP is looking at. Compacts and midsize sedans dominate the car market. Full size sedans are nowhere near as prevalent.

That may be true, but car sales are down significantly and being replaced by crossovers.

She just needs something small because she's a shitty driver. Accord is 6 years old and has been wrecked 3 or 4 times. I can't remember which
Sounds like my moms accord. Ha. We had to get her to trade in an Audi S4, because she was "backing into" to much.
She wants something new, but hard for her to get us all to agree to something new. Especially with all the new tech in cars today to confuse her. Ha.

I think this is based on Ford and GM moving from Sedans BECAUSE they are giving up competing with Honda/Toyota/Nissan and more recently Hyundai/Kia.
The myth that the Ford Taurus dominated the sedan market for decades was based on fleet/rental vehicles, not individual purchases.

I drive a 2006 Camry. I bought it right after college with the plan to pay it off and drive it until it dies. Nearly 200K miles later it is still going

I drive a Mazda 6. Great car. Great gas mileage and very comfortable. Perfect for a commuter car.

FG you park in high rises?
I haven't bought a truck for that reason alone
Not daily. I park in my driveway and a parking lot at work.
I did have to navigate a pretty tight hotel parking garage in downtown Birmingham over the holidays. It was pretty tight. I wouldn't want to do that daily.

I do because I am not a construction worker.

The new hype is crossovers
I wonder how many people would be turned off to these things if they still called them station wagons?

My Grand Cherokee felt small compared to all the fricking F-250s and RAM 2500s I was in traffic with today.
For real though, I drove a 3 series up until a few years ago and when it got totaled (by being rear ended by a giant arse pickup at a damn stop light) I decided I needed an SUV. I'd prefer a car but I can't see shite on the road with how many damn giant arse vehicles there are now.
If I lived on the East coast where the streets tend to be smaller I'm sure I'd go back to a regular car though. I hated driving my old Explorer on those windy arse roads in CT and VT.

No one said they weren't. But OP's first sentence is ridiculous based on both sales figures and what you see on the road.

I work in an office and drive a truck. It's just what I prefer to drive.
I'm kind of a do it yourself'er and it's convenient to have a truck bed at my disposal. I also have a 4 wheeler which would be tough to fit in a Camry.
I don't give a shite about gas mileage.

Exactly. They are just lifted station wagons.

Mazda 3, bought new in Nov, 2017. Good price, drives great, mileage excellent. No complaints. Highly recommend.

I drive a Ford Focus. Hit a 100k miles yesterday. It pretty much sucks. Had it for 12 years plus.

I drive 2003 Camry. Car is just means of transportation for me. least of my priorities. Too each it's own.

Two sedans and an SUV in my stable.

I've owned an Accord and Camry
Accord was waaaaay better but that's probably because I had the V6. Held onto that car for 12 maintenance free years
Camry had some maintenance issues but I drive my cars til the wheels fall off so it is to be expected. Got nearly 200K out of it
