Measles Cases up 30% worldwide

quote:

In the U.S., the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reports 220 cases of measles so far, making 2018 one of the worst years in a decade. “A total of 15 outbreaks (defined as three or more linked cases) have been reported so far in 2018,” the CDC said.

It needs to be mandatory. If you’re not vaccinating your kids you’re putting other people’s children at risk, which should be a crime. Anti vaxers are fricking idiots.

Some of the people that will be shitting on antivaxers are the same geniuses that don't take the flu shot because "they never get sick"

It's a mental condition.

These parents are worried about doing something to their child that is proven to be safe, yet they can't wrap their puny little brain around the fact that doing nothing is far more dangerous.

Which brings up another point, would you rather your child **MAYBE** be autistic, or die from a disease that we eradicated decades ago?

Again, fricking idiots.

Everybody needs to vaccinate their kids. I guess they don't realize that the illegals infiltrating our country are bringing in diseases that we had under control. Then when their kids come down with some deadly disease, they freak out.

It is almost 2019. Why are there still people who do not believe in vaccinating their children?

I believe in everyone else vaccinating their children so that I don't have to vaccinate mine.

I believe in explaining the risks of vaccines to your kids and letting them decide. Obviously you have to wait until they're a couple of years old, but why not let them decide what to do with their own bodies?

This year our 4 year old opted in and our 6 year old declined. We respect their autonomy.

I got the flu shot, but typically I don't unless it's a nasty season, like the current one.

That said, Vaccinating your children and getting the flu shot is comparing apples to oranges

Because with the internet you can now spread absolute bullshite incredibly easily. We also have essentially the worlds knowledge at our fingertips and have to use critical thinking much less frequently because we have so many things already figured out for us. It used to be it was incredibly hard to spread bad information because it was damn near impossible to get it published and disseminated. But now I could post some bullshite fact or story on facebook and it would spread like a virus and many people wouldn't have the critical thinking ability to further research it and realize its bullshite before taking it for gospel.

So you want me to risk my child having a serious, life-altering reaction (not autism) or even death so others are protected? That's socialized medicine. No way! My child comes first.

You're going to hate yourself when your 6 year old dies from a disease people eradicated decades ago.
