re: Who here doesn’t believe in vaccinating your children?

It's easier to control for legal travel and immigration. We also know shite travels back and forth and can look things up if necessary. We can't do the same with illegals, they also congregate in areas that are going to get be hit the worst because of safe havens or family in poor areas.

they already tell you what you can and can’t put in your bodies (i.e. drugs) why not enforce something that ensures a healthy population?
I'd argue they aren't capable of making that distinction, and the logic doesn't seem flawed the way you put it here, but they also tell you that you can't use your finger to pull a trigger aimed at someone, so why shouldn't they be able to tell you that you can't use your tongue to hurt feelings?
The government being capable of improving public health does not mean that they are the only way to make such improvements. I'm of the thought that change in law should be the last resort essentially always. Vaccination rates still remain pretty high. Education of the patient by the provider works very well.
Change in law also can have unintended consequences. Example: sister has serious allergic reaction to a particular vaccine. Younger sibling is due for it 2 years later. Does the sibling get the vaccine? Should it be informed decision shared between the parent and the physician (my vote)? Should the government dictate whether that child is vaccinated or not?

My son's pediatrician would not accept him as a new patient if we weren't going to vaccinate.

If I had kids and the vaccine would help them they would get it however it was ineffective and useless as the flu shot is no they wouldn't get it

Why are you so focused on "illegals infiltrating our country?"
Because the vaccination rate among illegals entering the country is 0%.

Which brings up another point, would you rather your child **MAYBE** be autistic, or die from a disease that we eradicated decades ago?

Did something change in the vax that causes autism the last decade or so??
Or are there a bunch of non-diagnosed autism adults from the pre-90/80s version of the vaccine.
This is what baffles me about the argument.

Tens of thousands of Americans travel internationally every day. Tens of thousands of non-Americans travel here, legally, every day. The exposure to disease strains from outside of the U.S. herd happens all day, every day.
Why are you so focused on "illegals infiltrating our country?" That's just stupid.
Amigo...the people traveling here on planes arent the ones carrying this kind of crap. The ilegals in the caravans are the dirt poor, and not US dirt poor, but less than that. They havent had access to anything medically safe their whole lives.
Get your head out of the ground. Yall really have to stop being so naive.

I believe in explaining the risks of vaccines to your kids and letting them decide. Obviously you have to wait until they're a couple of years old, but why not let them decide what to do with their own bodies?
This year our 4 year old opted in and our 6 year old declined. We respect their autonomy
Such a cuck move. Grow up, and be a real man and lead your family. I guess you'll let your kids decide if they go to school, eat veggies or junk food, etc. Heck next time you get a job offer or promotion you should ask them to vote on it too.
Better ask them to let you hump their mommy again, cause you dont want to accidently have another baby w/o their approval. Especially from the 4 y/o cause being a middle child may ruin his life.
What a a joke

If this were true, there would recorded outbreaks of these diseases (diphtheria, pertussis, measles... etc) in areas where there would be a high migrant population. To my knowledge, there have no such reported outbreaks. So that claims isn't true. Now if we're talking simply vaccination, everyone's child should be vaccinated
Posted on 11/30/18 at 1:41 am to ElectricWizard0
It's honestly because people don't care about statistics and science. Anyone can get into the studies showing drastic decreases is previously deadly diseases and see that vaccines are ultimately safe and essential. For example, smallpox has been eradicated since the 80s, how? Vaccines. Anti-vax movement is a near delusion and when you confront people on their delusions it tends to strengthen them.

If you're really on the fence on vaccinations just space them out. You don't have to do 2-3 per Dr visit. Put a month in between.
And calm down.
When it comes to the flu shot, never had one, never had the flu
Knock on wood
Maybe this deserves another thread but what in the heck is causing the all of the new allergies anyway(nuts, gluten, etc)? When I was a kid I never knew even one person who couldnt eat a damn peanut butter sandwich?

I’ll say it again in this thread....I’ve said it in many other vaccine threads....
What pisses me off is the dumb frickers that don’t believe in vaccines were likely vaccinated as children. So they are protected but their poor children are not. Their kids will die and suffer from their decision if the family comes in contact with these deadly diseases....but the whack job parents will survive.
That pisses me off.

But we haven't been nearly as successful with the flu vaccine, it's a Hail Mary compared to measles vaccine.

Some protection from the flu shot is still better than no protection.
Parents in third world countries in Africa that can barely read and write have more common sense that anti vax idiots that have college degrees. Reason why? The parents in Africa will sometimes walk all day with their children to places where their kids can get life saving vaccines.
