Infiniti and Nissan Armada are identical vehicles. The Lexus is a smoother drive, and better resale.

I have one in my garage that my wife totaled on Sunday

It was a great car, but not on the same level as Lexus LX or QX80

not really, i know a few people who've bought rovers within the past few years who complain about bad service, airbags going out, and other random expensive things that go wrong. It's not that there were a couple years where rovers were ill built/designed, it's decades of shitty engineering. but if you put a big enough price tag on it i guess people think they're getting quality. they're no doubt some of the most beautiful cars out there, but i ain't taking that leap of faith.

My neighbors have the new Infiniti and I'm not crazy about the exterior but frick me you will have a hard time finding a better interior.

Clearly they are doing studies on who's buying them and realized it was the gays

No problem. They're not for everyone. I love being able to raise my suspension and creep through the gumbo mud to my mississippi camp, and still have something nice to take the woman to dinner in. And I don't have to worry about service

not so subtle dealer brag... i feel ya

that said, the 80 defender is one of the sweetest looking rides i've ever seen. i could be convinced to buy one even though i know it would be a money pit.

Defender's aren't really money pits if they're in good order. Not a whole lot to break on them.

Yep. They hold their value.

I've got a 2012 RR Sport LUX and I love the hell out of it. 39k miles.

I like the lines on it but I wish they'd bring back some of the dash gadgets.

I had a 13 with London Tanner interior. I actually like those sports better than the 14 going forward. Naturally aspirated V8 vs. Turbo 6 and steel frame vs Aluminum. The old body style is a better ride

I want to order a first edition before the end of the year but just bought an autobiography, last year. Trying to figure out how to break it to the wife :)

I've had no issues going on a year and its the best vehicle I've owned over Audi, Infinity, Lexus, and Acura.

I'll never own one newer than my current L322 unless they start making them look like real Rovers. The L405 and the Velar look like Fords.

No, Ford is taking some of their R&D from Rover. But I get what you're sayin.. I'm a sucker for a box, and it's hard for me to drive the new ones these days. My next purchase will be a G4, probably Disco III or III. It's tough to find them, but I know a couple of people with them; just waiting for them to get bored or need money

I drive a similar style vehicle and I'm becoming more and more convinced that I look like a bitch.

My GF no pics has the LR2 which I guess is the predecessor to the Velar. I definitely feel like a basic bitch when I drive it. It is fast with a good sound system so it doesn't bother me too much.

I'll probably pick up one of the newer LR4s. I really want an older Defender to restore, but I don't have the space right now.

I'm still convinced my Rover SC is damn near perfect.

ETA: this is my 4th rover. I've had an RRS and two LR4s. My parents have had at least one Rover my entire. They're not these horror machines that break all the damn time.

for the prices you guys are willing to pay for a RR, I'd rather buy a modified Land Cruiser
