Maybe your dog is faking it for the drugs. You are an enabler.

But those concussion bombs that go about 60 feet in air and explode so loud

Yep, someone did a dozen or so of those in the next block from me and I was out on the front porch watching the fireworks show someone puts on every year for the 4th and NYE The concussion from those big ones cuts right through you.

Then some idiot a block or so away decided to pop their stuff at 3 a.m. for 1/2 hour before they ran out-------or got shot.

Mine never really gets excited about it. Just have to make sure to bring him out before it starts, because once it starts and he's out he's like "Nope, I think now is a bad time for this." and calmly trots back to the house.

A duck dog that's scared of fireworks. Insane. This is what over breeding does.

Where do you live where you thought people wouldn't shoot fireworks?

July 4 is the worst time for losing dogs. They run off.
Wife gives ours cbc chews or something. He stays in and won't leave our side.

You're lucky. It doesn't bother my Dane. He barks occasionally, but my last dog was terrified of them and bad weather. Can't blame her as I am too. During Sally, we had a 100 ft tall oak come thru and split the house in half and it fell right on top of her. No clue how it didn't kill her, but ever since she would go get under the bed whenever fireworks or bad weather happened.

One of my dogs don't give a shite about fireworks. He will bark at them if he goes outside, but then after he barks and sees that its nothing he can get to in order to smell, he just goes on like normal.. But my other dog. She hates them, however; she is 13 years old and I think she is losing some of her hearing because this past New Years, she only really started to freak out if it was fireworks close by, which isn't constant. There are fireworks all around, but not two houses down... or right across the street, but she will get as close as possible to me and if I am laying down in the bed she will jump in, get under the covers and settle down.

My old dog Molly Jane had to have doggie Xanax during fireworks or thunderstorms. New dog barely notices. Much better Birdie Shug!

I give my Boxer Trazadone. I read that reggae helps, so added that last night and it seemed to help. My other dog is unfazed.
