The only shot you'd have is to cut the legs out from under him quickly. His knees would have been the weakness. That probably would have taken an illegal foreign object, and you would have been DQed.

Yeah, if you target his legs, several people could take down Andre. That’s his weakness, and it’s a major one at that. Now with rules, not many could take him down, but in a no holds barred fight, several could take down Andre since his biggest strength is simultaneously his greatest weakness. It’s not like facing Tyson where he’s nothing but steal. Andre has this going for him like in Helm’s Deep:

Yeah, when he was in his teens and early 20s, then no one could take him down, but in his wrestling prime, that’s when his bones started to betray him. If you go for his torso and up, you don’t stand a chance, but you could easily frick Andre’s legs up if you’re a strong and skilled enough fighter.

Blackjack Mulligan

Mulligan tried on a couple of occasions. It did not go well.

Once, Mulligan punched Andre while they were drinking at Manny Fernandez's home, and Andre laughed at him. They started brawling and caused $1800 in damages to the hotel room.

Another time, at a Virginia Beach bar, he sucker-punched Andre. Andre grabbed both him and Dick Murdoch (who knew Mulligan was going to do it) and put them both in headlocks, one under each arm. He dragged them to the beach and threatened to drown them until they apologized. Then, they went back to the bar and started drinking again.

Yeah, in his prime I agree. I don't think people understand just how big he was. Even skilled fighters would struggle with his sheer size, let alone his durability and strength.

I'll never forget in college, one of our buddies was an OL for LSU. He was hammered in the apartment and acting like an idiot...he was about the throw a stool through the TV. And several of us tried to "calm" him down and grabbed him by the arms, and he flung us off like flies. And a couple of the guys were big guys. We all looked at each other and we all the same look on our faces...the look of "if this motherfricker goes nuts, none of us can stop him, even if we all tried together." It was a weird experience. Brute strength is strange and intimidating. And Andre had a SHITPILE of it.
