What the speaker is doing is identical to what happens on this and similar boards anytime someone posts something about a minority breaking the law or doing something stupid. Immediately some will come forward and claim the entire group that is similar to the criminal or the idiot are all alike. If folks were honest there would be no worse group, using that logic, that white folks...we break laws and do stupid shite with regularity and there is a heaping pile of us in the US. If it is good for the goose it should be good for the gander...it is not in either case, but when someone suggests its "the culture" they are doing the exact thing this idiot is doing...

It is fully possible to be aware of what other groups face in the US without taking up their cause as yours and eventually exerting your POV on that cause...I think everyone is more or less capable of navigating their own lives themselves without me helping of hinduring.
