He turned it purple for Prince. So a musician can OD and it ok.

Then he should have arrested Hillary instead of endorsing that lying cow.
But that would give the election the republicans.
Lol, if he really wanted to never be in that position where his integrity would be called into question, he should've pushed the democrat party to keep Hillary away from the primaries.

It's fairly obvious that the first two photos are the same image.

if they did it for these cops, that would mean it would need to be lit blue every time a cop was killed.
so it would stay blue a lot of the time. not that there's anything wrong with that other than it means cops are dying.

It's been done in celebration or for breast cancer awareness, not in mourning. Where is the hypocrisy? Had it been done following any death or tragedy ever, then you would have your hypocrisy.

Who cares? The police are already incredibly powerful in this country. They don't need any support from the Whitehouse

Why not fallen police officers?
He identifies with them. He's a cocksucker...

Obama has been a poor president for a multitude of reasons, but this just seems like a bit of faux outrage at this point.
Agreed, I think it should also be pointed out that lighting it up blue could also be perceived as taking sides in this circumstance. Obviously, blue should be the side to choose but there's no denying the potential for a certain segment to feel slighted if they did. Right or wrong on their part, I believe that he/they figured fewer people would be outraged by doing nothing rather than giving the impression they were denouncing any "movement."
INB4: You liberal cuck. I'm just a republican that has sense enough to take a step back and see things for what they probably are.

But that was a one in a lifetime type of historical legal occurrence.

Sadly LEOs will continue to die in the line if duty, that's the truth. If the White House does this once, they will have to keep doing it. Then military folks will want it done too. Where does it stop?

I'm 99% certain if Obama illuminated the White House blue tonight, many of the same critics in this thread would bash him for politicizing a tragedy and say petty blue lights do nothing to unite the country or solve the racial divide problem.

Celebrating breast cancer awareness? Why can't he "celebrate" the honoring of police officers? How can one "celebrate" something so bad such as cancer? Even under the guise of "awareness?"
They shouldn't have started lighting it up for anything. Again, slippery slope, and his staff opened this can of worms. It's fair game considering what the left is willing to criticize over.
I said or breast cancer awareness, not "celebrating breast cancer awareness". Words mean things. Try to comprehend them before you go off on a tangent.
As far as the rest of it, the slippery slope argument is ridiculous. The inverse of your outrage would be gay rights people throwing a bitchfit because the White House didn't lower the flag to half staff to celebrate gay marriage. There is no precedent for lighting up the White House in times of tragedy. None.

The only point I'm making is that this is a situation of his own making. They should not have done it in the first place and it isn't as if those demanding that he do it for everything aren't justified because of that.
