The post you were replying to is tied to my tongue in cheek response to the USCe poster.

No it is not! It shows how he truly feels about current situation.
quote:Agreed.
President Obama is a phony so it does not matter what he does.

30-50 a year and eight are killed in a week or so by ambush, and you don't think the president couldn't symbolically support the badge?

Hopefully that means more Democrats voting for Trump.

but how many of those are targeted and ambushed?
and killed while being ambushed?
roughly 10-15 in 2014, 5-10 in 2013, several in 2015, on target to be more than 15 this year.
There are about 200 targets and ambushes each year, most non-fatal.
So, are only cops who are ambushed worthy of lights at the white house. What about others who just get in shootouts and killed?
oday, the White House said the action wasn’t necessary, and that the president had already adequately displayed his support:
quote:
“The president has chosen to acknowledge this loss and pay tribute to these heroes in a variety of other ways, including: ordering flags lowered to half staff, traveling to Dallas to speak at the memorial service and spending a substantial amount of time after the service visiting with the families of those who were lost.”

He didn't light it up after the Orlando attack. He did it after the Supreme Court ruling making gay marriage legal

You can't be a one trick pony on this board and then try to be a voice of reason.
There are a couple of hundred thousand people registered here and you are the biggest race baiter.

Except that he does and has. He even flew flags at half mast. Attended services. Met with families.

I agree he should but the comparison to gay marriage is an odd one. It's apples and oranges.

I just don't understand how he isn't taking a firm stance against these actions. Blm movement have proven themselves as domestic terrorists yet he keeps entertaining them.

These posters that the PT has dealt with for years are coming in on the OT.

So much hatred towards a reasonable post. Has any administration illuminated the White House in response to any tragedy or murder of anyone? I'm pretty sure that answer is no.

What is your point? That I should show respect for the dead just because they're dead? The victims of Orlando didn't do anything to earn my respect. Just a bunch of dudes partying at the wrong place and the wrong time. So a bunch of gay dudes get killed and I can't make fun of gays anymore? frick that. I make fun of everyone. I call gays dicksuckers and cops pigs and black people dindus and LP residents white trash on a daily basis. Quit being a sensitive Sally

Did you not see his speech yesterday?
quote:
“Regardless of motive, the death of these three brave officers underscores the dangers that officers face every day,” he said, speaking from the White House press briefing room. “Nothing justifies violence against law enforcement. Attacks against police are attacks against all of us and the rule of law.”
also
quote:
"I condemn, in the strongest sense of the word, the attack on law enforcement in Baton Rouge. For the second time in two weeks, police officers who put their lives on the line for ours every day were doing their job when they were killed in a cowardly and reprehensible assault. These are attacks on public servants, on the rule of law, and on civilized society, and they have to stop."
Obama added: "These attacks are the work of cowards who speak for no one. They right no wrongs. They advance no causes."
Predictably, his comments will be down-voted, even though folks here are calling for such comments.
