I once went to a Carolina Panthers game in Charlotte and noticed all the baws wearing Luke Kuechly jerseys in much higher numbers than anyone else. The few brothers there, that were wearing jerseys, I saw all had Cam Newton jerseys on. There were a few other numbers, and I did see a few whites with black player numbered jerseys on, too.

frick 'em and make 'em eat raw fish heads. I'm too old to worry what other people think. I just concern myself with my thoughts. Blacks can have their heroes and we can have ours. People need to quit allowing themselves to bullied by political correctness. The only thing political correctness does is take the population down to its lowest denominator. I have known cases of blacks botching against their own when they are successful in something other than sports via accusing those individuals of being too white. I have also known of some of those criticized telling their breather to frick off. They worked their ads off, earned their success and weren't going to hold back or apologize to anyone for what they had achieved.

This is all fine and dandy, except for the fact that the OP made a lot of assumptions that probably aren’t true, just so he can be outraged about something.

If you wear a black player’s jersey, it would be cultural appropriation.

That's not new. Back in the day, a lot of older guys would pull for a white Russian boxer over a black American one in the Olympics. And the latest white LSU running back was always the best player ever.

I laugh when Local blacks play this game in St.Louis, with Stan Musial.

I then say, hey tards, 2 of the elders favorite 3 players are musial, gibson, and brock.

And then have to remind the dumb fricks that the favorite players of the 40 year olds are ozzie and willie mcgee

And then have to explain that Albert was the fan favorite of the youngers.

So basically 1 white guy in past 50 years as a big fav of fans. Rest are black or hispanic. Big mac doesn't count, because he was a freak show, like a monkey who danced for everyone, then when he was done(last at bat), the fans left the stadium.

I've had this come up re: Dirk. Been a Mavs fan since Brad Davis was Dirk. Discussing why Dirk is my all time fav to certain people always led to me saying "get the frick out of here... 2006 put me into depression and 2011 brought me out if it. GFY." Hell with 'em.

My favorite was David Robinson, while he was at Navy.

And while he was at the Spurs. Navy guy who did well for himself.

Wait...I thought if a white person had a fav black player they were racist for only liking blacks on a given team and it was a phony admiration. In other words whites having a fav black player were simply patronizing them and racist for that. Good grief can someone collectively make up their damned mind for once?

Hell no we didn't. We didn't even compete in 80, 84 was LA and 88 Calgary. It was probably the most popular decade for USA Olympics I can remember. Cheering for a Red boxer? Unheard of.

Birdman had a shot on him.

If you could have combined his shooting with shaqs physicality, you literally could have taken ANY team to the championship.

Exactly. This is most likely why they were looking at him funny.

But “muh they think I’m racist”.
