Shocker...an 80 year old white woman from Mississippi doesn't trust black people. You're not going to change old people, just have to wait for them to die off.

You’re gonna be waiting a long time for all of the people that meet this criteria to die off. And my God I hate pit bulls.

While there are a million possibilities here I would be willing to bet if it was my wife, my dog and me there would have been no gun and after an hour we would know granny's life story along with all her kids and grandkids and she would run back to the office to bring us back two pieces of homemade pie. Yall come back, ya hear.

tOT is quick to label stories "culcha" well this is deep south gun toting old white lady culture and it is just as accurate, meaning not 100% but if you had the same odds at Casinos they would be out of business.

No dude. Maybe at Barker's Corner 20 years ago but not today and certainly not all over the Parish.

A pretty extreme reaction.

It doesn’t matter if race was a factor in that woman’s mind or not. Unless we know race was a factor it shouldn’t be mentioned. This is part of what perpetuates bad race relations. A bunch of non-race related incidents get lumped in with actual racist encounters

First thing I would do is check in at the office of a private campground before I assumed I could use their facilities for free, but that’s just me.

Question is, why wasn’t she arrested for pulling a gun on the family?

What if the dad had a concealed carry and he pulled out his gun and shot in response?

“She” would be playing the victim in a heartbeat.

Dad would have gotten arrested, charged and chaos would break out media wise.

the black woman is in the wrong for mentioning her husband was a vet, because that means absolutely nothing.

the white woman was wrong for pulling a gun.

two wrongs don't make a right.

Yes, because those two things are exactly equal.

What law was broken? She pulled a gun on some trespassers on private property and told them to git

Just like I know some 19yo that got a ticket for sticking his head out of a sunroof is a vet. People do it. That said I would be mortified if my wife every mentioned I served in a situation that it was not directly germane.
