We bought my wife a 2015 Blizzard Pearl Highlander Limited and it's probably the best riding car we have ever owned. I can see us owning this car al long time and my daily driver is a 1983 CJ7 I have owned since 1985 that I paid for myself before my sophomore year in high school so we are not averse to driving vehicles long last their prime.

Pathfinder had some issues in 2013, but they have corrected those problems. It's a great vehicle. I'd recommend the Nissan for sure.

If you want the best vehicle, you get a Highlander and it's not close.
You get what you pay for.
I would consider the new Pilot and new Pathfinder, but you know what you are getting when you buy a Toyota Highlander, and that's a big roomy family vehicle that gets good gas mileage, is very reliable, and will last you as long as you want most likely.
The older Highlanders may have lacked in the technology department, which is what the other car companies focus on instead of a reliable engine, but the new Highlander is suffice in that area now.
This shouldn't be a hard decision if you are wanting the best vehicle.

We just got a '15 Acadia because we needed the room. I am surprised at the pick up with the V6. We also like the captains chairs in the middle to keep the little bastards from murdering each other. So far I am very pleased.
They had a lot of problems in their initial roll out up until the redesign in 2014. The later models are in good shape.

I bought a VW Touareg.
But I was looking at the Highlander.
It's definitely the best vehicle out of the ones you listed OP.

I bought a highlander from Coach Robertson today. Easiest process I have had buying a car. The highlander really wasn't on my radar bc I had really liked this 2015 explorer they have at price leblanc but my wife fell in love with the Highlander. Anyone looking for a nice explorer should go check that one out there though!

We are waiting for the 2017 Highlander, supposed redesign interior and exterior worth the wait to see if it's worth it, if not, hopefully save a little on late model 2016.
We've had a Traverse since 2010 and it's been great, although not bells and whistles a new Highlander offers. Never getting rid of the Traverse.

Highlander, but I would take a hard look at the new Pilot first. I'm done with GM. Nissan would be a 3rd choice for me.

I'm going to catch hell for this....
...but I rented a brand new Dodge Durango this week and I'm pleasantly surprised. Powertrain is very nice, it's a smooth ride, handles great, and is very comfortable. It's an easy vehicle to drive and the switch gear is exactly where it should be. It's rear wheel drive chassis is shared with the wildly popular Jeep Grand Cherokee, which I think is loosely based on a previous version of the Mercedes ML chassis from the days when Damlier owned Chrysler.
I have no idea if it will last as long as the competitors and I doubt it will match the resale value of the Jeep it shares a platform with, but it seems much better built than the older Chrysler products and it has a 3rd row seat. It honestly feels more sturdy than most large crossovers, which seem to rattle and flex a little over bumps like minivans.
If you lack faith in the long term durability of Chrysler products (can't blame you there), go with the Acadia. Just saying that the Durango might be worth a test drive.

We just rented a 2016 pathfinder with only 900 miles on it and I was really impressed with the ride. It was smooth compared to the larger honda pilot that my SO drives.

Mom and sister in law both have Sante Fe and they seem like decent vehicles and can't beat the price or the 10 year warranty.

Highlander will be the most reliable by a long shot. CR has them rated highest in that area.
