What's the negative on the Acadia? We are buying new and pretty much have it down to a choice of Acadia or Pilot. Current pilot is 10 years old with 110K miles and has been excellent.

Acadia. Surprisingly, it has more interior space than a Yukon by 1 cubic foot.

What's the negative with the Acadia? It's one of the biggest POS's GM has ever made, well documented transmission issues, amongst other things. The only thing it has going for it is that it's a decent looking car. For nearly the same money, you can get a Pilot or Highlander that will cost less to own and sell for more when you sell it. If you're truly doing your homework and don't have a Toyota or Honda chip on your shoulder,, the Acadia shouldn't even be in consideration...

What year?
I had read that some earlier models had problems so I didn't think much of it. It seems like it could be a good value vehicle if they have their shite together now.

It's a '14 that I bought a year ago. It had 32k and now about 46k, and I haven't had any problems.

Very easy driving car, and very comfortable inside

Pretty much sums up my experience. The new body style looks sharp. The only thing I really hated about ours were the Kumho tires that come stock. We put new tires on it at Xmas, and it really makes the Santa Fe a good car to drive.

I did much the same thing when I moved west in 2004 and got a Santa Fe. Took it on a combined Route 66 / Pacific Coast Highway trip through NM, AZ and CA. Ran like a champ. Loved it.

That's funny I bought mine for my current move to Alaska. I've gotten to Jackson WY so far and it's awesome.

Smooth ride and I can fit my dog cat father and random crap I couldn't get shipped. Just the perfect amount of space

Can't beat the price as I bought it with tax title and license for 19K and it only had 41000 miles on it

Haven't yet made it there but that's on my bucket list. How do you like it there?

If you care about reliability...don't buy GM or the Nissan. I'm not surprised about GM quality issues but Pathfinder & it's Infiniti cousin have had major problems. We're in the market for similar sized vehicle, out of those choices..it's definitely H'lander. If you can wait till Fall, a minor redesign is coming out for the '17.

Forgot about the new Honda Pilot. It's been getting great reviews as well. Looks too much like a minivan for my tastes but supposedly it's a great ride & looks are subjective.
