Most all of this shite is regulated.

I can spend 20k to go to Africa on a bad arse hunt or I can spend 20k to send ground beef to Africa

You are required to do neither, and both are beneficial.

South Carolinians mount cocks, as do the French.

I think the rhino is underrated as the coolest mount.

May not have the best hunt story, but it’s the show stopper in that room.

The hunting being beneficial is completely irrelevant of his reasons, agreed. A person with a collection on a wall like that is not hunting because it's beneficial somewhere else.

To the original question of the thread...None of these kills makes a cool conversation piece. What is cool about a guy paying a ton of money for a prearranged easy hunt? It's not like he was out in the wild by himself and it was either him or the lion. That would be a cool story.

Yeah, you just don't do this if it's not yours

Someone threw about a 9 pound bass mount away by their curb during the spring. Wife asked if I wanted it as we were on a walk. I said "didn't catch it, not going to pretend like I did, don't want it"

Congrats. You can shoot a defenseless animal from 1000 ft.

Those aren't chickens, those are cocks! You should know who mounts those.

I don't understand buying a mount. The idea of a mount is that it is "trophy" of your hunt. If you're just going to buy one, you might as well buy a fake mount, because you really are a fake.

..I always asked my friends with their farmed big buck if they included the leg with the rope on it and if they cut the rope off the tree before or after the kill…

Acting like this is a benefit to the animal kingdom is a joke .. their deer farm was managed.. high fence .. raised for their racks.. they named the deer and would save them until rack size was what they wanted. seriously.. and theses “safaris “. you really do check the box of what you want to kill when planing some of the trips to some of the places.

Justify however you want to make you feel important but not buying the I am doing the animal kingdom a service bs..
